Putting the stunning spitfire in danger doesn’t sit easily with him, yet he has no choice if he’s to reclaim his sister—or create a future with this new family.

Reviews from Amazon users, collected at the time the book is getting published on UniedVRG. It can be related to shiping or paper quality instead of the book content:

⭐ Digital security specialist Nikki Payne grew up with all brothers. She was just as tough as the boys she grew up with. She is tired of her brother’s protecting her. she is a body guard and wants the chance to show her family she can handle her own. She was one kick butt heroine in the book.Nikki is also good at reading people. Her brother hired former marine Lars Ecklund to work for the agency. She knew something wasn’t right. After she brought him to his knees, she made him tell her what was going on.Lars sister is missing. He thinks she is dead. They are hired to guard a newborn. He knows that child is his sister’s child. He wants to kidnap the baby, but will need Nikki’s help. The two will also need the help of her brother’s. I love the way the Payne family takes care of one another, and is always there to offer support. If you mess with one, you take on the whole family.I loved the action, and suspense of this book. It’s awful what his sister went through. I won’t spoil the book for you. Just know it’s a great book!

⭐ Nice story, loved the part with the tiny bodyguard and the very big guy. The story was very well-written…I really enjoyed it.

⭐ Great Read,I Loved it.

⭐ can’t put it down until it was finished ready it

⭐ Nanny Bodyguard is the fifth novel is the Bachelor Bodyguards series, but only the second novel in the series that I’ve read, and I’m happy to say it was somewhat of an improvement over the fourth book in the series and I give it 3 stars. In this novel, it’s Nikki Payne’s chance to finally get out of her brother Cooper’s newly opened branch of the Payne Protection Agency, and actually work in the field on Cooper’s first official case, and while he’s not at all happy about it, his buddy and new hire, Lars Ecklund was all for giving her a chance, although he has his own motives for wanting her positioned as the bodyguard nanny to a lawyer’s new baby. In addition, he’s attracted to the petite and feisty Nikki. As the other new hires, Dane, Manny, and Cole, gather for a briefing on what will be their first case, all the former Marine buddies notice that Lars looks as though he’s not slept in weeks, and he has good reason for that, although he’s not yet shared that information with anyone but Dane. It seems that Lars’ younger sister, Emilia, went missing during his last deployment, but in his last communication from her, he learned that she was pregnant, that the father of her child had left her and that she was planning to visit a lawyer, Myron Webber, to find out if the best thing for her unborn child would be to give it up for adoption. Guarding the son of that same lawyer is their new assignment, but it’s not going to be their first attempt to breach the wealthy man’s estate. He and Dane attempted the break-in the previous night and were lucky to survive the attempt, as the estate was already heavily guarded. This novel really puts the suspense in romantic suspense a,s after the first couple of chapters, the action really ramps into full gear, especially when Lars gets a look at the baby they’re guarding–it’s obvious that he’s Emilia’s son, but when Myron Webber is asked where the mother of the baby is, he’s told that she died in childbirth, making this baby Lars’ nephew, his last living relative and utterly devastating this giant hunk of a man. Nikki too has noticed the resemblance and wonders if Lars fathered this child, while also fighting her own attraction to this Lars. While the plot was interesting in and of itself, the growing attraction between Nikki and Lars takes a back seat to Nikki’s insistence that she’ll never fall in love or marry, since she was well aware that her own father cheated on her mother. Nikki’s constant battle is to have her brothers and the men working for them take her seriously as a bodyguard. The woman has skills and is constantly irritated by the men in her life trying to protect her and her need to insist that she’s perfectly capable of taking care of herself. What she also has a problem with is trusting any man, although it’s clear that her brothers are happy having found the women of their dreams in previous novels in the series. While I enjoyed the aforementioned plot and characters, I also found the writing very choppy and confusing. The points of view in this novel keep shifting, with no attempt made to help the reader by identifying who the new voice is. The scene changes and time-frame shifts also repeatedly change from one paragraph to the next without any indication that such a thing has happened when the author could simply and easily have inserted a trio of asterisks to alert the reader of the change in narration, location and time shift. Since I was reading an ARC, I hope that this cognitive dissonance is noticed and corrected by the editors before this novel is released. While I enjoyed the plot, characters, action, suspense and romance in this novel, the technical issues I’ve mentioned made it hard to follow and certainly detracted from my enjoyment of it, which is why I found myself unable to give it more than a 3-star rating. As I gave the previous novel in this series only 2 stars, there has been some improvement in the quality of the writing, and I hope the author continues to improve her skill set because she certainly knows how to write an edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense novel, and I’m hoping that Dane’s upcoming novel continues to show even more improvement. As previously stated, I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and received no compensation for doing so.

⭐ I am giving it 3 12 Stars out of 5Since this is the first book I have read in the series I can only go off from what I read and not the series as a whole.First off Nikki Payne is just too winy for my taste and her endless complaining about not being like her brothers, settling down with romance and marriage seem to fill the first half of the book to the point of turning this reader off. The attraction was completely sexual so when it turned into something more I couldn’t get behind it.The backstory made me think that Nikki already proved herself so the fact her brothers were over protective was a little took much to deal with. The families 6th sense was a nice add to the story. The sex scenes were that. The story is easy to follow, readers will not get lost and the author keeps readers up to dated right away in the book so this can be read as a stand alone if they happened across the book in a store. The flow of the story seemed a little choppy at times and the inner monologue dragged on a little too much. Action would have been better than Nikki and the giant Lars Ecklund endless inner thoughts. Trust me you will never forget how tall this guy is. It is mentioned non stop. The author seemed to think readers needed to be remind about his unique looks. It wasn’t needed and was a distraction.Since this is the first book I have read by Lisa Childs I am not sure I will pick up another one of her books. Lisa Childs repeats herself way to many times in the book for me to enjoy it. I am smart enough to remember he is giant with amazing blue eyes and can’t walk though a normal doorway because he is so big.Thank you Netgalley for the advance Copy

⭐ I’ve really enjoyed this series and I have been waiting for Nikki to get her chance. As the youngest and only girl, she has been suffering from an overdose of brothers. Ever since her family started their security company, she has wanted nothing more than to take her place as one of the bodyguards. Unfortunately, all of her brothers are extremely protective and won’t give her the opportunity. Her chance comes when the newest branch of the business is hired to provide bodyguard service for an infant.Nikki isn’t the least bit motherly, but she’s desperate to make her mark, so she agrees to the nanny bodyguard position. Also assigned to the detail is one of the newest hires, Lars Eckland. He’s one of her brother Cooper’s Marine buddies, and just as macho and overbearing as her brothers. But she also senses that there is something else going on with him.Lars had come to River City looking for his younger sister, who had gotten pregnant while he was deployed. He had sent her to Cooper for help, but she never showed up. He got one letter from her saying she was visiting an adoption lawyer, and that was it. Lars is desperate to find Emilia and uses his connection with Cooper as an entry to the lawyer’s estate.I’ve liked Nikki since the beginning of the series. She’s small but fierce and determined to live life on her own terms. It has been enjoyable to see her stand up to her brothers and try to show them what she can do. However, she tends to overreact to their actions, which only makes them dig in their heels. She also avoids relationships because she doesn’t believe that most men can be faithful.I liked Lars also. He’s a good and honorable man, but his fears about his sister have pushed him to the breaking point. I ached for him and his grief over her disappearance and his guilty feelings about failing to take care of her.I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Nikki and Lars. They struck sparks from each other from the beginning. Nikki first sees him as just another chauvinistic lunkhead, but can’t deny that she’s attracted to him. Lars initially sees Nikki has the weak link in the chain of protection, which suits him fine, but quickly discovers his mistake. As they work together to protect the baby and find Lars’ sister, the attraction between them grows. Both of them fight it. Nikki because she is afraid to allow herself to love, and Lars because Nikki is his friend Cooper’s sister and that’s going against the “bro-code.” The battle is a losing one, and I enjoyed seeing them grow closer. I liked Nikki’s support of Lars in his search for his sister, and how hard she worked to keep him from giving up hope. Lars has to reconcile his protectiveness toward Nikki, which gets him in trouble with her, and his growing respect for her abilities. He soon knows that he wants her in his life permanently, but has to find a way to convince her. I liked the ending and seeing them open their hearts to each other. The suspense and action in the story were very good. We know Lars’ problem from the start, and his reluctance to involve his friends. The issue becomes more complicated when the lawyer in question becomes Cooper’s first client as he opens the new office. I liked that Cooper had reservations about the job, as it showed that his instincts were good. Lars’ shock when he sees the baby is intense and increases his need to find the truth. I wanted to shake him for keeping everything to himself and was glad when it all came out. The intensity built as the team raced to find the truth, and the reader sees the desperate condition that Emilia is in. They also have to find a way to prevent the illegal adoption set up by the lawyer. The final confrontations were nail-biters and kept me glued to the page until they were over.Family was a big part of this book; not just family by blood, but also that of shared experiences. The relationships of Cooper and his team were as deep as those he had with his brothers and sometimes deeper. Lars’ wish to protect them from his actions was real and understandable, as was their determination to help him once they knew the problem. Lars’ had a bone-deep feeling of responsibility toward Emilia because of their past. I ached for his grief when he thought she was dead, and his feelings of guilt because he thought he had failed her. I loved the quick connection he had with the baby. The most complicated was the relationship that Nikki had with her family. Her feelings of betrayal because of her father’s actions affected her relationship with her mother and her half-brother. Then there was her frustration with her brothers and their overprotectiveness. While she had a point, there were also times that I thought that she was purposely pushing their buttons. It was interesting watching them try to deal with their need to protect and Nikki’s need to be accepted for her abilities.

⭐ A riveting case grabs our attention from the first page and doesn’t let up the rest of the time! We see several familiar faces from previous books playing parts in this story. The main characters have a really compelling chemistry from the moment they set eyes on each other and I enjoyed going along for their story.Former Marine Lars Ecklund has arrived home from his final tour of duty to find his sister missing. He knows where she said she was headed the last time he talked to her, so he goes and tries to find her, but keeps hitting brick walls. When his former teammate Cooper Payne comes into the picture as a way into the fortress of a house he’s trying to get access to, Lars connects with him without giving him any details that might put him in a bad position.Security Specialist Nikki Payne is really irritated that her overly protective brothers refuse to let her do the job in the family business that she wants to do. She doesn’t need them holding her back and she really resents being treated like a weakling! When Lars comes on the scene and she realizes he’s being secretive about something, she sets out to see what’s going on. Will they be able to get to his sister before the whole situation blows up?

⭐ Nikkie works apart of the Payne Protection agency and wants to prove her worth but its hard when shes put on desk jobs and not in the field of work. It doesn’t help that her brother keep finding new people to hire as body guards when shes has all the training. In comes the new guy Lars who does help in her in away to get what she wants to be an actual body guard but there seems to be some secrets he’s hiding.I loved this book, it was entertaining and mysterious. It was suspenseful questioning what happened and if Lar’s sister and if she was even alive. I loved how observant Nikkie was with it came to things and went with her gut. I loved that she was the type of person to stand up for herself. I loved that there was plenty of twists throughout the book that surprised me. If you are looking for a book with more mystery not as much action then you’ll want to check this book out I really enjoyed this book.
