Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐As the name implies this is a book for people that have no knowledge whatsoever of a camera. For anyone with even a little idea of photography, this book is way too simple. I was looking for a book that would explain in detail more about the menu items and how how to navigate them. It’s hard to find a book that talks about the menus in depth. This book really skims over a lot of topics, but doesn’t really go too in depth on any of them. I gave the book 5 stars because it was a good book for people without a clue. I won’t bring the score down just because I am already too advanced for most of this book.

⭐Reading the Nikon manual is more painful than polishing silver so I had to find another source to learn how to use my camera. I thought I better get to it before my mobile phone has more features than my camera…..it may be too late already! At any rate, I’m working at learning my camera and this book is very helpful.

⭐Purchased for my son who bought a pre-owned Nikon D300s which did not come with a manual. This book is well-written with the topics well-structured and has been very useful helping my son use the D300s.

⭐I bought this book before buying a D300s. It made me realize what a great camera the D300s is. After purchasing it I followed it closly and have taken some wonderful pictures.I would recommend this book to anyone that is considering the purchase of this dslr, or anyone that feels a need to brush up on their skills.

⭐I just wanted this as I do not have the manual for my cam. But this book is more about photography and less about my camera. Get a more advanced book unless you don’t know anything about photography. I should have thought about that before I bought this.

⭐My husband bought this for me along with my 300s. I love it. It’s well-written and organized. The pictures are very helpful – and there’s lots of them. I used this book when I first got the camera to thouroughly go through it – menu option by menu option. I still refer to it when I need to do something out of the ordinary.

⭐There is no assumed knowledge with this book and I found that extremely helpful. Most people buying a D300s have some sort of background in photography. I did not, but knew I loved it and didn’t want to waste money on cameras building up to this one. This book will take you from dummy to semi-pro in no time.

⭐Can’t express how much I love this book. Bought all the other books relating to learning how to operate my Nikon D300s; however, this book surpassed them all. Easy to read. Very easy to understand. Explained everything I needed to know.

⭐I have had my camera for about a year but by page 40 I had learned so many unexpected functions that are available but poorly described in the Nikon manual. This Dummie book is packed with understandable and clearly defined operations…I am still working my way through it.

⭐I had high hopes for this book as the reviews had been positive but I found it to be somewhat disappointing.I have the 300s Digital Field Guide and unfortunately Digital For Dummies does not compare.I was hoping to learn something new from reading the book but it had little to offer in that respect. However, having said all that it would have something to offer a beginner.

⭐Brilliant book for getting to know your Nikon D300/300s. I have many of the “For Dummies” books, and can highly recommend them for simple, clear information in getting to know your camera easily.

    ⭐Great

    ⭐Just what I needed
