Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐Normally I get up to speed using ‘Dummies’ books, but this time it only added to my frustration. The book’s directions and pictures seem to be from a different version. I’ve added a screen-scrape of my program’s ‘About’ panel so you know I’m using the version that this book is supposed to cover. Then I added a scan (if you can read it) of the book’s picture of the (very important) ‘Layers Palette’. The next is a screen-scrape of the actual palette; they’re nothing alike! I found I had to keep looking in the 800+ page (!!!) downloaded PDF user’s manual to make any sense of what I was reading in the book. Nearly every palette or panel illustrated in the book was grossly different from the actual one, including the tools panel (the mother of all panels from which you select your current tool.) This caused bullet-pointed ‘how-to’ sequences to be incorrect and/or hard to follow. I eventually gave up and have started a user’s manual by printing sections of interest from Corel’s excellent (but too wordy) manual. At least the pictures are correct’ and colored. I suggest you do the same; it’s free.

⭐This book is for a version of paintshop pro that is pretty old. Not the current 9x. Be aware.

⭐This book is a disappointment. The index is missing keywords and there is no glossary. What is really disturbing is that it describes tools and functions that are not actually in the program.

⭐As most “…For Dummies” books, I find this book took me by the hand to help me do the simplest stuff in a way that is not technical and inspires me to go from “I think I Can” to “I Know I Can”. A great help to do easy stuff that at first wasn’t so easy.

⭐Great reference book, although I been using paint forever since 2 edition.

⭐need help to learn how to use program to fullest and these dummie books are written very well so lay person can understand themgreat shape and ships fast

⭐great using both the users guide and for Dumies

    ⭐good info

⭐Great book makes Paint Shop Pro 9 understandable

⭐Excellent book, easy to follow, encourages you to try out new techniques. It explains the difference between things like raster and vector layers, that you don’t know if you are new to photo editing. Also lots of handy tips – I wouldn’t have looked at ‘batch processing’, but now know that I can give all my photos from one event a similar name, making them easier to find. The book enabled me to use the help files on the software as well, as I now understand the technical terms.

⭐Book was as described, good delivery, thank you.

    ⭐Good

⭐useful book for work on the internet for those not quite so clever. useful to pick up when needed. like it
