⭐I am surprised no one has ever written anything about this book.I bought the book about 2 years ago in addition to book by Farlow. I have used Farlow and Colton for primarily learning the subject and used Strauss more as an “Excercise Book”.I prefer to follow other books and visit this one on a topic-per-topic understanding instead of following chapter to chapter ordering in this book. Chapter 1, 2, 3 is quite the good materials. However from 4 on, the subject material order is a little weird.

⭐Great deal

⭐I can’t think of any reason to try to use this book. Strauss is better for learning the material for the first time, but even Evans is more accessible. Absolute garbage. It’s not even a good deal for the money! This is what happens when you try to cram a subject as dense as PDEs into 200 pages.
