⭐Having made my living as an engineer (electrical), I was looking forward to learning something about the people that preceded me in the profession. Overall, I would have to say my expectations exceeded what the book provided. The writing was a little sloppy factually and grammatically in places, which was a bit distracting at times (perhaps a more thorough proof-reading would have helped). The book focuses on the lives of these remarkable people, which I did enjoy learning about. However, for many of the lesser known individuals, I was left wondering about their engineering contributions. That wasn’t a problem for those I knew (e.g. Bell, Edison & Shannon), but it did leave a hole on the others. A short summary of the contributions and significance of their work would make this a much better read.
