⭐If you are studying A326 Empire with the Open University, then this book is well worth reading, since chapter twelve is about the ‘Conquest after the conquest’: the rise of Spanish domination in America (South America) pp. 296-315, by Peter Bakewell, which seems to be one of the few sources readily and inexpensively available on this crucial aspect. Lacking this chapter will make your study somewhat difficult to understand, particularly since it does form one of the TMA questions. Highly recommended reading, whic is straightforward to follow.
