Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐I bought this book as a supplement to other network books. It covers the absolute basics, but not enough. This is the two main protocols for ISO layers 3 & 4 and there are a myriad of complexities in these layers, especially when it comes to switches, WAN configurations, security, and network accelerators. I can’t see anyone getting enough out of this book to be useful except as a basic introduction. It is a good format for a certain age group, e.g., middle or high school; and very readable.
⭐I obviously didn’t read the book cover-to-cover. If you need to do that, god help you.It is a good reference. Unlike many other sources, it gives a full and verbose explanation of everything. It does not assume any prior knowledge and it does not leave out any details that might be irrelevant. It includes all the details, and that is just what I needed for some really low-level TCP/IP hacking.
⭐Love, Love, Love this book. It makes TCP/IP so much more simple to learn and does an excellent job of explaining a fairly tough process in a way that anyone; including a complete beginner like myself, could comprehend it!!!! Definitely recommend this book to any one looking for an overall read about TCP/IP!
⭐I have been having some difficulties setting up a home network and understanding how that works. I am disabled and have the time to learn about this area of computer sciences. I don’t have the money to hire a computer expert to set it up and explain it. This book and The Dummies Book on Networking have been invaluable.
⭐Hands down one of the best for dummies book ever written! I understand everything about networking and security now. Thanks!!!
⭐fast shipping and product is good thz
⭐I know that TCP/IP is fundamental building block of networking, and the main reason I got this PUB was to refresh my mind on all of the networking processes that I had not talked about or seen in years.
⭐I have say none of the “Dummies” books are perfect but they are a great tool to give you a different insight into what you are studying. I have used them for a bunch of networking education and they are a great addition.
⭐The content is a bit over familiar but good all the same
⭐Very useful!
⭐If you are completely new to this, you won’t find a better book to introduce the subject – it is very well thought out and and easy to understand.
⭐Lots of useful information for my degree in here
⭐Great book for as described “dummies. Delivered on time as forecast
