⭐As great as Mommsen’s scholarship is, the fly-by-night publisher ruins. The first time I ordered it it arrived with the binding already falling apart, so I got a replacement. The second time the binding fell apart within one month. Find a different edition to purchase, this one won’t last the time it takes to get through one read through.

⭐This is a very big, beautiful book. For the price it is a steal. Perfect for a history buff. This is a book that was quoted by Adolph Hitler and I ordered it to personally verify some if the quotes. This is a historic book.

⭐Mommsen may be the greatest classicist ever. I’ve got a long way to go to finish this book (there are five volumes after all) but I have already learned a remarkable amount. No one I’ve read has such a command of language, history and their interactions.

⭐This is a bad quality scan and not an e-book. Not worth buying. There are e-book versions of the same book.

⭐The type is way too small. I would like to read this book, but I cannot see the words, even with my glasses on. What do you expect for 5 books for $11. I should have known better.

⭐Love it! Glad the price dropped a little bit before I bought it, but it was worth the wait.
