⭐Very good book for postgraduate research in atmospheric sciences and oceanography.

⭐I got this book with little background in thermodynamics, so I found some of the concepts difficult to understand. Only the first chapter goes over the fundamental laws and such, so there isn’t really a strong introduction. The writing is good, the concepts are clear, and the practice problems are mostly challenging. If this is your first intro to thermodynamics, you will probably want a good instructor or supplementation to go along with it. Overall it is a very good book.

⭐A real treasure by one of the best climate physicists in all of academia. Will become an important desk reference to all interested in understanding the relationship of oceans and the atmosphere.
