Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐…at the age of 79 to explore the Internet, among other things. He contacted his telephone company and added Internet service to his account. But, then, the device remained essentially idle for a year or so because my husband and I don’t live nearby (visits aren’t sufficient for long-term learning), and he didn’t know anyone else to show him how to use it effectively. He bought a couple of books, but they didn’t help much; they were far too “techie.” I finally purchased this book for him, together with LAPTOPS FOR SENIORS FOR DUMMIES (

⭐). He told me yesterday that these are the BEST books he’s read! He’s gotten his laptop out, and can actually understand and navigate it, now. Apparently, the authors really considered the psychology of their projected audience correctly! Thanks, bunches!

⭐Purchased for my great Aunt who was new to the Internet. She had heard all of the horror stories about scams and was very nervous this explained common sense steps she could take to avoid being a victim and explained some of the common scams and risks she needed to be aware of. This addressed her worries and concerns. She’s still worried about the scams online but now knows what to look out for.

⭐It was somewhat helpful, but as with most books written about computers a lot of assumptions are made that the reader is extremely computer saavy, which is not the case for me. Also, not a lot about viruses, bugs, Trojans, etc.

⭐As a senior and computer and internet user though not a techie, I think this book, for fellow computer users, is a good user guide to security. I think it is up to date, being copyrighted in 2009. It seems to cover pretty much the range of subject matters needed to provide security for users. This book apparently was not meant to teach computer programming or the technical intricacies of computer security, but for what it is meant to do, I think it does it quite well.

⭐Clear, concise, easy to read and comprehend. Even those that are “experts” can learn something new or be reminded of something from this book.

⭐learn more what you can advoid on the website and learn mor about the do.s and don;ts. between the pros and the cons and how to use it more carefully for those like us not able to defend outselves… learn more about protecting yourself and those you love most…learn and read more…

⭐This is a goot tool/book for seniors who need to read in big print. Bought for my Dad and he loves the big print and the ease within the pages.

⭐I still felt like a dummy after trying to understand this book, I learned some thing butI am not sure it’s worth the money. I don’t think I’d buy it again.

⭐A Great Asset when your father is over 70 & not too confident when using the internet or sending emails. This book has already proved it’s worth. Would definitely recommend to others, prompt delivery really good condition and great value. Thank you.

⭐got this for my mum she has be able to use it and is in good order she now can ues the laptop all the books I have orderd form this shop have be in good order

⭐got for my dad to try and help him

⭐I bought this book to try and guide my retired parent on the use of the internet as they were quite sceptical about the whole thing. After reading the book which explained things in an easy to understand way my parents are no silver surfing with the best of them. No issues with delivery and would use the seller again.

⭐This was a gift and the recepient thought it was great ,
