⭐ This book has to be for real dummies like myself for ever purchasing this book. I mean it’s just reading material and you can go to the city library and get all the information that this book has or get on your pc and do a search for whatever you want. Unless you like spending money I wouldn’t waste it on this book. I am serious. I gave it two stars because I personally do not like the word hate for 1 star.

⭐ Windows Vista for Dummies by Andy Rathbone is the manual every computer beginner or not such a beginning dummy needs! It is so very instructive without heavy technical explanations that make you forget your original problem. It plainly and simply walks you through each feature on your computer, in general and how to use the internet intelligently and safely. What I really like is that Andy throws in so many tips and and great ways to make your life simple during your search. Highly recommend it!

⭐ My friend was still using Vista and couldn’t find any books about it. I told her I would get her one on Amazon, because if it’s in print, they can get it for you. And, of course, it was available. It was sent to me by one of their affiliates, and arrived in mint condition. I have a very happy friend.

⭐ The book came very quickly, service was excellent, but the book was disappointing. The pictures were black and white, and could not read the tool bars, which are crucial to learning to navigate the program. So we are still fumbling our way around the program.

⭐ As with all the “Dummies” books I like the way Andy separates the wheat from the chaff by telling you up front which things you really need to know, and which things are nice to know but not necessary. He presents the information in easy to understand plain language and includes enough humor to keep it interesting. I find myself reading on screen help and then referring to “Dummies” to see what it really said.

⭐ At least this is what we hear. So don’t bother, right?Unless you have actually embraced Vista and found some redeeming value from an OS Microsoft appears to be in the process of abandoning.Helpful? Yes. Somebody actually understands Vista, so you might as well benefit. They ‘get it’.Well written, and will bail you out when Vista does some wierd crap you don’t understand. Which might be daily. Or hourly. If you are gonna buy a book on Vista, it might as well be this one. Now, YOU can ‘get it’.

⭐ Compared to the old Windows XP Home Bestseller Edition (Que) encyclopaedic treatment, this Vista tutorial is superb. It is clear, but does not not insult one’s intelligence. I was able to start at Page 1 and absorb knowledge, and RETAIN it, as I studied, or sometimes scanned, my way through.

⭐ use it and always find my answer to my querstion

⭐ I swear the older I get, the ;less I know about computers and their newtechnology. I went from the XP to Vista and was confused. This book is great for seniors and helped me so much. It explains so well all of the areas that I did not understand. I love this book.

⭐ An excellent, non-technical guide for people who work with or have computers but don’t have the time or inclination to become expert in their use. The book is written in an entertaining, easy to understand style and covers anything the novice is likely to encounter. I highly recommend it.
