30-second Quantum Theory
User’s Reviews
Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐Very easy to read and illustrated development of the major concepts of quantum physics
⭐LOVE THESE BOOKS. Buying one of every topic can find. I love them and kids already diving in.
⭐Breaks down concepts of Quantum Theory into everyday understandable and interesting short reads!
⭐Very accessible. Some of these single-page ideas probably need a textbook just to themselves to explain fully, but this is a great intro.
⭐this is my second copy – to be given as a gift to a nuclear physicist in the family.
⭐I was lent this by a friend, Brian, and I am so glad he did. It takes the Brits to be able to clearly write about what could be a complex subject(s). I tried reading it each evening, with some success but found that it truly hung together if I just sat down one Saturday and read it front to back. My engineering school during the late ’60s and early 70s gave me an “education” on these topics, but I did not really “learn it” . The strength of this book is to give you just enough glossary to understand a section (There are 7 sections) . to lay out each building block of theory in a section and if there is areal world example – quickly show you. The final sections really flow as more and more applications come forward. These reinforce what up to then seemed just theories into real products we use every day. As an aside The Nazi persecution of Jewish scientists resulted in many fleeing to the US , which gave the US physics program such a boost. But, the xenophobia of the later MacCarthy era in the US drove much of the talent elsewhere away from the US. Its a lesson we should learn from.
⭐I just started an interest in physics because of the Mandela effect. Great way to introduce yourself to important topics.
⭐if you don’t know much about quantum theory , there are simpler books to read, however if you have some sort of idea, then this book will fill in the gaps for you
⭐This books gives a clear and simple summary of some otherwise very complicated ideas in quantum theory. I also like the presentation: just one idea per page, often with a helpful illustration. I’d recommend this book to anyone who wants a clear guide to the basic ideas in quantum theory. I have a number of very good detailed books on quantum theory, but I find this book very helpful as it presents the bullet-points so clearly.
⭐My 15 year old son loves these books. Can read a few theories which are concisely written.
⭐My husband bought a copy of this for our granddaughter and liked it so much he bought a second copy for himself. It is one of a series with ‘bite’ size pieces of information.
⭐Not really what I thought it would be. Really just a brief history of the theories.
