⭐If you are interested in anything involving Alien abductions and the stories involved therein, then this is the book for you. If you are often curious about the kinds of things that extraterrestrials might say then this is DEFINITELY the book for you. Though somewhat slow at times and with some of the stories involved personally having me sit there and wonder what the heck was actually going on just because of some of the hard to believe aspects involved with one or two stories, the book is certainly a page turner that any extraterrestrial enthusiast must have on their shelves. The author went through quite the ordeal because of his belief and decision to help the people going through this, and in the end barely received any recognition for the things that he had done. John Mack went places that were, at the time, fairly unexplored for fear of ridicule and his research shows the amount of passion he held for the subject.

⭐I can relate to most of the abductees, since I was abducted at age 7 and was never allowed to talk about it…it was only a nightmare my mother would say…I’m 64 now and I remember when and where it took place. All my life I have kept it to myself, but that has never stopped me from investigating…so happy and thankful to know I’m not crazy and to think I was. I have read many books on abduction…but I must say this one has been the best written by Dr. Mack. Dr. Jacobs book have been also very educational. I want to thank these two doctors and everyone else who has dare to speak out the truth on Aliens.

⭐If you enjoy reading a book written at a PhD level this is it. The book written by Dr. Mack goes into deal about the alien abduction phenomenon very well. As far as I am concern, he wrote the book on the subject. I learned a great deal from this author. I also, learned an answer to a question I have had for a long time. Do the aliens mind that their abductees are telling people about their abductions? No, there has been “no retaliations” from people talking about their abduction stories.Dr. Mack use hypnosis to help is patients remember their abduction experiences. I found them all to be interesting. I feel much more enlightened on the subject than I ever was. I highly recommend people to read this book if they need to know information about the alien abduction phenomenon.Dr. Mack is/ was a Harvard psychiatrist that is also trained in the art of regressions (hypnosis). This was the added sign-on for me to want to read the book.It is written at a PhD level, oh well. Look up the terms if need be. Some of the words he uses I had to look up. But I do not regret reading this book. I found it a great source of information and the abductees were regular as you and me. Most of them are educated but still, the people and what the go through do not happen to special people. These abductions happen to regular people and advanced educated people. With that said, I found this book to be much worth my time and energy reading. I found it highly informal on the subject. I do definitely recommend it.

⭐When we lost Dr. Mack to a drunk driver, we lost one of the most knowledgeable people in the UFO abduction field. Dr. Mack takes you in depth with his patients and presents the truth plainly and clearly. This is a great book if you already know something about the topic but yearn to learn more.

⭐Harvard psychiatry professor Dr. John Mack made history when this book came out in 1994. After interviewing dozens of people who said they were abducted by aliens, Mack dug deeper. He interviewed alleged abductees from across the globe, and he also queried them under hypnosis. People who couldn’t possibly have known each other made some of the exact same claims: similar looking aliens used advanced technology to loft them up to alien craft where abductees were immobilized and medically examined. Sperm and egg samples were taken, and some women were implanted with hybrid embryos. A professor of psychiatry, Mack witnessed raw emotion and consistent details in abductees’ stories. He determined that most abductees were sane, responsible people who were probably telling the truth. In Abduction, Mack reports abductees’ statements directly then provides an analysis of what the aliens look like and what they appear to be doing.Mack isn’t the only competent researcher reporting on the subject. David Jacobs, PhD, interviewed hundreds of abductees and also concludes that aliens are real. Abduction researchers’ work became more widely known after Eisenhower White House National Security Council member Col. Philip Corso wrote a book about how he helped distribute downed alien technology from the Roswell, NM crash in 1947 so that the US military could copy it.Mack’s book is superbly written. It’s required reading for an understanding of an important new subject that is regarded most seriously at the highest levels of government.

⭐A very real book that everyone should be aware about. Even those who aren’t interested in the subject would be glued to this. This is real and this is our reality. Stay woke! A GREAT READ!

⭐Dr. Mack took on a controversial paranormal subject very effectively and even handedly and lent his prestige and that of Harvard Medical School to it. Many individuals who have reported close encounters have had their careers damaged because of their revelations. For example, consider the Rendlesham Forest incident near RAF Woodbridge. Every Air Force member who claimed to have witnessed an alien craft on that occasion had their otherwise good careers clouded, often being denied promotions, etc. Even Dr. Mack was investigated by Harvard’s peer review committee for his abduction reserch even though he had committed no offense that was of the kind typically investigated by the committee; he was exonerated. Let’s face it: over 90% of alleged close encounters can be explained; it’s that remaining 10% or so are unexplained. Even if one of those 10% can be attributed to a close encounter, and I have no doubt that some can, then we are not alone.

⭐Great book. So many times you will be ready to call BS but the clinical material is so dense and rich it leaves you scratching your head. It’s also a story of Mack himself who jumps into a clinical phenomena with both feet and grapples with both the ethics and subjectivity of presenting the material. Whether it’s research or treatment it’s never clear, whatever is clear is that it’s a phenomena that shook all involved to the bone. Whatever your personal take on the abduction phenomena if you are interested in ufos the clinical material presented here is important. It’s also a great cultural artefact in its own right and utterly compelling.

⭐The Harvard Prof gets into the alien abduction phenomenon. He analyses it and tries to understand it in the wider picture – what it means for all of us. Who better than a top psychiatrist is qualified to deal with this? He can say clearly whether people claiming abduction are mentally ill or genuinely suffering. Whether you believe in aliens or not, there IS something going on and it does need investigating. This is a good read about the issue. Prof Mack was slated by Harvard and they tried to sack him but failed. He survived all that only to be killed by truck in England… This is but one source – there are many others supporting the same outcome. Prof Mack came to see that there are aliens and they do abduct people against their will for some purpose known only to the abducters.

⭐John Mack and his abductees capture the imagination as well as the mind. A truly thought provoking compendium of story that if true has reality breaking ramifications the human species. Wonderfully written by a wonderful man. Pleasure to read. I feel grateful for having read it.

⭐This book is a must-read for anyone who is interested in and/or may have had out-of-the-body experiences or hypnotic regression into past lives, and thus expanded consciousness without the use of artificial stimulants/drug therapy. Having been outside of my own body during transcendental meditation, and having read countless books about near-death experiences, I cannot deny the validity of the experiences of Professor Mack’s clients. Thankfully, here is a scientist who has evolved beyond the limitations of the Newtonian/Einsteinian physics with the honesty and integrity to admit that astro-physicists, psychiatrists and researchers in the field of the paranormal, don’t yet have all the answers to the mysterious sightings of UFOs and the testimonies of alien abductees. I have found this book both inspiring and challenging..

⭐It should be noted that ‘Abduction’ became the inspiration behind the legendary series of ‘The X-Files’. To be honest this is a truly incredible piece of work by the late John E. Mack. Essentially ‘Abduction’ is an inspiring book – a collection of various stories and explanations of people who have been abducted over various points in time. Although ‘Communion’ by Whitley Streiber became the most well known book on the subject, ‘Abductions’ is a book that contains more detail and more people who have had the abduction experience. It is a fascinating read and although it is quite a long read, the subject is well and truly inspiring.
