⭐ This is a great book !!!!!!! The beginning was a little slow, but after a few pages you won’t be able to put it down, as for the condition of the book it came perfectly packaged without a single page bent or torn 😀

⭐ This is vintage James Hadley Chase: simple stuff, a great sense of place and character, an afternoon’s light read.Unlike Agatha Christie, you don’t spend time with JHC trying to work out who dunnit. You know from the beginning of the book who the villain is, what he wants to do, and how he intends to do it. The exciting bit is knowing it is all going to go horribly wrong.

⭐ Très bon James Hadley Chase comme d’habitude: On commence à lire et … c’est déjà la fin. Écriture efficace d’un écrivain dont l’œuvre s’étend dans le genre policier sur 89 romans et quelques nouvelles depuis 1938 (No Orchids for Miss Blandish) jusqu’à sa mort en 1985. Les premiers romans ont idéologiquement un peu vieilli (le mâle “gros dur” et la femme fatale), mais l’évolution idéologique elle-même reste un bon fil conducteur dans l’ensemble de l’œuvre.
