    Description

Prejudice, persistence and passion. Is it possible for resentment to turn to romance? Jake Harrison is everything that Haven Daniels hates about men: over-confident, born into money and too handsome for his own good. Haven finds it difficult to keep her opinions to herself and can’t help but tell Jake exactly what she thinks of him, again and again. Haven Daniels is uptight, smart and a bit of a bitch – the perfect challenge for Jake. It doesn’t hurt that she’s movie star beautiful and has no idea. Forced to work together, verbal sparring turns into sexual chemistry but men like Jake are trouble and Haven has had enough trouble to last her a lifetime. Will Haven give into the passion and succumb to hotter-than-hell Jake’s charms? Can Jake break through Haven’s tough exterior and reveal the sexy, funny woman he knows lies beneath?

⭐A bitchy, attractive female and a hot, Dominant rich guy- Sounds like my kind of book! Add in some drama, passionate love-making and amazing nights in Paris- well what more could you want from a romance novel?****4 STARS!I admit, I was slightly behind on reading Parisian Nights by Louise Bay considering it was published in 2015, however I’m so glad I finally did. This is a fun, sexy romance book with lots of drama throughout, great main and sub characters and a great story line. While some of the parts are quite predictable there were plenty of other twists and turns which will leave you screaming, “What the hell next!?”The main female character Haven is a bitch. There is no diplomatic way of putting it and at times she can be quite frustrating. It worked well with the story however and towards the end you see a different side to her and I found myself starting to warm to her.Jake, the male lead is a strong, PATIENT and successful bachelor and had be swooning for him very early on. He does have a slight Dominant side and whilst this was explored somewhat in the story, it wasn’t your usual full on BDSM which may or may not disappoint you.Their love story certainly has its ups and downs which made this book quite a long read. It is also 444 pages which is much longer than other romance books I tend to read and at times I did wish it would hurry up. Although the ending was good so I’d say it was worth the wait. There are two other books in the series which follow on sub characters stories, which I am certainly going to check out! Again the sub characters in this book were great and I would be interested to find out more about them.I would recommend this book to any who likes the following:A bitchy female who needs a strong man to help her through her issuesA strong, sexy guy who is caring with a subtle Dominant sidePassionate love scenesA story told in two different POV’sStandalone Romances

⭐Another winner from Louise Bay!Haven is vulnerable, prickly and closed off. She’s only her true self with her brother, Luke, and her best friend, Ash. She wears dowdy clothes and scraps her Rapunzel-blonde hair into a severe bun, every day, for work.Jake is comfortable in his own skin. He’s close to and protective of his sister, Beth. They are an American family unit living in London, away from their father, after a past tragedy. He’s never with a woman for more than three months. He’s happy with meaningless relationships with women he thinks he’s supposed to be with. Until he meets Haven.Haven initially misjudges Jake, due to his obvious wealth and looks. However, as they spend more time together, Jake slowly breaks down Haven’s walls to see the true Haven hiding beneath the tight bun and prickly demeanour. In turn, Haven gets to see the real Jake beneath the looks and riches. He gets her. Their attraction was compelling and charged.Haven and Jake have quite a lot in common: personal loss, wariness of letting people get too close to them, fear of commitment, fear of showing their true selves, and deep love for their family.I loved how their relationship developed and grew. They were both vulnerable people but willing to give in to the other. I loved how Haven opened herself up to Jake, and put her trust in him. Jake is a solid guy – desperate to do the right thing by everyone in his life.I loved their HEA – there was real feel of serendipity to their final meeting before they finally came together, near the end of the book. Love this author!

⭐Louise Bay is fast becoming one of my favourite go to authors! I’ve loved everything I’ve read so far from her and this book was no exception. This story had me hooked from the start and eager to see where the characters journey would take them.In this story we meet Haven and Jake. Now what I felt set Haven aside from other female lead characters was the fact that she was a strong willed independent woman that is working her way up in a quick paced career, she’s not your usual female that’s in love with the idea of finding love at all. When Haven and Jake are thrown into a working relationship together she doesn’t even really like him at first. The attraction between them kind of slowly bubbles under the surface until bam Haven shocks herself to admit her feelings. However life’s obstacles seem to find a way to position themselves directly in the couples path……..can they overcome them or is it just to much ?A brilliant read for when you want a good old fashioned romance story. I can’t wait to read more from Louise Bay.

⭐I chose this book purely because it was Louise Bay and I’ve read a few of hers previously & they had all been amazing! You instantly ‘fall in love’ with the guys she writes about I loved Harry/Jake right away, so hot, so caring, soooo everything! I was hooked from the moment Haven rolled her eyes and Jake said ‘You’re so going to get kissed for that’ mmmmm delicious! Made me smile – Well done Louise Bay, you smashed it again!

⭐Lousie Bay is the type of author where I don’t need to read the blurb, just give me the book and I know I will love it!! And like always she never fails. Parisian Night… Why have I not read this book sooner??!! From a vulnerable blonde to a sexy American you are sure to swoon over Haven and Jake’s story. I sure did! This book had me hooked from the first page and hit me with all the feels. Such a great read and would highly recommend. Loved it!!

⭐Ms. Bay, has done it again, another great story. With strong characters. A wee bit of Shibari sneaking in there too. Just the right amount of angst, and feels.

⭐This is another sweet romance, and I would definitely recommend if you like other books by Louise Bay. Jake Harrison is the perfect American heart throb, and Haven makes for a great female lead. The ex-girlfriend’s part was predictable, and the only reason this book didn’t get 5 stars. Overall a really enjoyable read.
