Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐I have a 28′ camper trailer and wanted more info before purchasing an RV and where to go with one. This is the book for it. Written for semi experienced campers to someone just needing additional places to go for an RV vacation. The book starts off with a couple of chapters on differences of RV Class A, B and C and other information for beginners, but quickly jumps into the main purpose of the book which is where to go and where to park the RV. There is a chapter at the end that discusses the major campgrounds that are located nationwide. But this book is not focused on that, and I am glad it is not. If you want a book that details the thousands of campgrounds located throughout the USA, then there are other resources like Woodall’s guide that goes into minute details of each campground.
⭐I am new to this RV thing. I purchased this and the book for idiots. If I’m buying an RV for the first time I want to get every hint, viewpoint, reccomendation, etc. I also wanted to be talked into or out of my desire to buy a motorhome with facts not just my own dream of the open road. The book is informative. Goes over the types of RVs systems etc. Everything a dummie could want. I feel much more equipped to know what we are looking for in our search.
⭐This book is not for those of us on the East Coast. While there are some helpful hints that are universal, their travel guide is mostly geared towards Middle America and the West Coast.
⭐We were kind of disappointed. It is mostly about places to go. We are RV newbies so we were hoping for a lot more helpful information on choosing an RV, operating and RV, caring for an RV. We bought a used RV a couple months ago and we are finding there is so much to know – things to check and things to maintain. We’re a little overwhelmed and this book really isn’t much help. It does have stuff about trips that will eventually be good to know I am sure.
⭐Not worth it. The book is dated and there are better books out there. I ordered two other books on RVing what I ordered this one, both were much better than this one. This is the first “Dummies” book that I’ve ordered that I was disappointed in. I’d recommend looking at the books that have been much more recently printed.
⭐I’ve read several books recently and this one is the best of them. I’d recommend it to anyone interested in RVing or camping.
⭐I don’t care what the subject there is a Dummies book to cover it and RV’ing is no different. Having been a camper for many years I was not really bowled over by the information offered but if this is something new to you then by all means read this book. A lot of what I already know about camping I had to learn the hard way and this book could have saved me those difficult lessons.
⭐If you’ve never done anything with a RV, this book is for you. If you have gone camping in one before, it might not be that helpful. I found it answered some questions I had, but most of the info was for things I was expecting. As another reviewer pointed out, the 2nd half of the book is about vacations you can take, which is more for daydreaming and wasn’t really necessary. But a nice easy read overall, so 4 stars.
⭐Great book, loads of hints, tips and advice.Definitely recommend for a newbie like us.
⭐This book is really for those who wish to plan a route across the US rather than a more generic guide for those (like me) who have never been on an RV holiday before. Some of the early chapters do have some basic useful info but overall I did not find this as useful as it could have been.
⭐Great product & a great service ta very much 🙂
⭐This is a great book with many useful tips to help when planning your RV trip even tho I did not manage to go.
⭐Very good guide, looking forward to getting to California and spending time in the great outdoors in Yosemite in the summer.
