Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐Some of the books in the overall series are useful and actually go into a reasonable non-expert level of depth for a standard user. This book is nearly useless to anyone except brand new computer owners who have never set up an email account, both of you.For the rest of use who have at least some experience, this is a total waste of postage, assuming you can get the book for a few cents. I needed to have a reference for a couple of reasonably common tasks that I need to do so rarely that i forget where they are located in the program. Nothing I attempted to find out in this book is in the book. So I am back to typing inquiries into google. I am not a fan of google, too much paid advertising getting in ahead of the information. But in the long run, at least you can eventually find out how to do things in Windows and other Microsoft software. I wrongly assumed the book would avoid the misdirection and convoluted route to information needed on google. Here’s one example (of many) that takes about 5 or 6 minutes on google, and is nowhere in the book. Let’s assume a real Dummy does not know that if he sets up an email account for the first time in Outlook and checks his emails, that those emails will no longer remain on his ISP mail server and therefore he cannot now get them at work or his kids computer or anywhere else because Outlook 2007 defaults remove them from the POP3 server as soon as they are in Outlook. Or let’s assume, he screws it up and in his ignorance he has to delete the account he created and start over (a favorite of tech support reps everywhere). Would it not be useful information, even in a Dummies book, to warn us that this can happen, and maybe even for the more talented Dummies give some instruction how to prevent the problem in the first place. It’s nowhere in the book.Or to take it further, maybe a semi-Dummy knows that he has to tell Outlook to leave the mail on the server so that he can retrieve it again. He will just spin his wheels in the mud trying to get any help in the book.Or another problem. Maybe for some reason this Dummy is clever enough to realize just how inconvenient it is to send emails in 11 pt Calibri blue print to his mother who needs a magnifying glass to read a STOP sign. He wants to change the default font to something bigger and maybe something BLACK or even DARK BLUE for recipients older than 35 to be able to read. Where does he find out how to do that? Is it under Fonts? NO. Is it under Defaults? NO. Is it under Formatting? NO. Is it in the book? Probably not. Who knows. In fact, is there anything in the Index under these topics? NO. So where would a Dummy go to find that? Google, takes about 5 minutes.I have not read other reviews of this book. Obviously i think it is a near worthless book, probably worth only One Star to me and i have yet to find anything in here that even warrants that, but as of now I am giving it the benefit of the doubt for future use. Potential buyers should read other reviews than mine before deciding for themselves.

⭐I still use Outlook 2007 on my computer and am happy with it. I needed to do a few extra functions and needed help in figuring out how to do it. This book, delivered today, gave me what I needed to get the job done.

⭐I thoroughly enjoyed the very first “Dummies” book I picked up so when it comes any subject I usually see if they have one for the particular subject of interest. Outlook for Dummies stays in my laptop bag and continues to serve as a reference. Most of us only utilize a portion of today’s software’s capabilities so I purchsed this to become more proficient at my companies email program of choice. The books are always written so anyone can understand them and and with enough humor to forget your learning.

⭐I have a lot of For Dummies books and most of them have been helpful. This one is helpful and has answered a lot of my questions about using the full capabilities of Outlook, or at least helping me understand what Outlook can and cannot do.In learning about the functions of Outlook, I would have liked to have a bit more idiot proof (I will admit I am a computer dummy in some regards) step-by-step directions.Still, it has been a useful book and was worth what I paid for it.Kevin Sivils –

⭐Whenever I need to know about almost anything, I look for a Dummies book. I can always rely on them to tell me what I need to know. We’ve used them for travel, computers, music and business. Always a winner. My wife was switching to Outlook at work and needed some help. After reviewing several resources, she went back to the Dummies and got her training for the new application. I’m always confident in the Dummies books and this one is the latest in a series of winners.

⭐I purchased the program to replace Outlook Express 6 which kept locking up on me. The book made the setup for e-mail accounts very simple and I loved the other features of the program which I was able to use almost immediately by reading the book and following instructions. This is a great book for a low price.

⭐To my way of thinking, the book should start with how to configure Outlook. This book started as though some professional had already installed and configured Outlook for you. Not smart, but maybe dummies can handle it.

⭐As usual the Dummie’s books make learning easy and fun. This book tells you everything you need to know in an simple to follow format and covers all the important information. Outlook 2007 for Dummies is the one and only book you need to get the most out of your MS Outlook.

⭐Does not cover in adequate detail outlook setup, especially imap arrangements.Index not comprehensive.

⭐This book has helped a lot with problems I have had and I would recommend it to anyone who struggles with IT like me.Written so that a novice can understand and easy to follow directions.

⭐This is a very good allround product that is useable by total novices as well as a reference book for the more experienced.

⭐Pleased with the speedy delivery and I am currently “ploughing” my way through what appears to be a very comprehensive and informative book.

⭐I have found the book very good at explaining each task
