Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐Very outdated, I did not enjoy this book. For more updated info, I was better off going online to read. I was hoping to read about my medication, but since it’s so new, it wasn’t discussed in the book.
⭐Have had MS for 21 years. Still reading book. Lots of ideas. MS has so many variations. Always looking for other methods to do once simple tasks.
⭐Recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, my daughter was given a copy of Multiple Sclerosis For Dummies at the clinic. I purchased the book to learn more about the disease she is enduring and, the issues and, problems she is encountering in her every day life. As she lives in Alaska and, I live in Missouri this book has become a connection between us. I am extremely grateful to have the enormous wealth of information contained within and, I believe it will assist her in holding fast the confidence and, pride in herself she always maintained. The book is well written by professionals with advisement from experts in multiple related fields. It is all inclusive of the many facets of this unique accumulation of difficulties related to the disease, addressing each issue as a possibility and, sometimes a probability of what the holder is dealing with in each particular situation or case. Both factual and, well connected throughout by reference to other related information within, the book is the helping hand all multiple sclerosis patients would benefit from. This is a must have.
⭐Being that I have been diagnosed with MS in the first start of this year ( 2016 ) it answers quite a few questions I have about this autoimmune disease. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has MS and their family members. If I could I would give it 10 stars!! It has been very helpful!
⭐Very well written. Great book for those newly diagnosed and just as important for their family members. It’s a very unpredictable disease. I purchased this for a family member who still doesn’t understand why you can have changes from one day to the next. Even though I have been diagnosed over 20 years. I added that last info for those with any connection to MS. It’s not a death sentence and you can to some extent affect your progression.
⭐I had no idea what to expect when I was diagnosed This book spelled it out in a sensible way and made it not as scary
⭐I bought this book for my son who has MS.He has had it for 10 years. He needed information on how the disease progresses. He told me this book is for someone who is newly diagnosed. He said it is OK but it was to basic for what he wanted. So for anyone who is newly diagnosed it is a very good book.
⭐Good read for those wanting to learn more
⭐This book does a good job with information provision about MS, however, many GPS, consultants and ancillary staff in the UK medical system will not be as helpful as their American counterparts suggest they could be in this book. So, I read the ‘helpful’ suggestions with a rueful smile and also concerning the suggestions given in this book as to how we should all be conversing with aforementioned staff about our MS. problems….having lived in the States those suggestions would work fantastically in their medical.system. In the UK, however, much of what the patient is ‘taught’ in this book and our MS diary suggestions, etc might fall on deaf ears? I think the patients here are generally NOT expected to have researched their illness! Overall it’s a good book to own for those newly diagnosed and who are seeking to learn about the malady. I would recommend it.
⭐This book is superb & full of really useful information for anyone newly diagnosed MS or anyone who that diagnosis will affect such as partners/family etc. It’s written in a really easy style and it’s well segmented & indexed if you’re looking for specifics.
⭐It was an ok book, bought as daughter recently diagnosed and wanted to get some information and tips on how to cope and handle this disease. The same information is available on the net on the MS Society website for free. Did not learn anything I did not know already. Also did not have enough information on how to handle and cope when your child get’s MS.
⭐Informative & helpful. Good to read in sections
⭐All good cheers Good product
