⭐the title of the book is misleading….it should of been called “Java Everything”i have been programming on and off since the Commodore and Spectrum back then Assembly Language.i floated around after using C, VB, and PHP. through out the years i only heard about OOP but sinceAssembly is my favorite path i never got into OOP and thought it was all rubbish.i was intrigue with android and thought ill do some coding and create an app only to learn that Javais the way to go. so i thought ok ill look into this oop thing and see how it is.i bought only one book “java for dummies” and already this oop classes is all falling into place.since i already knew programing learning the non object concepts was a walk in the parkand finally learning classes and methods was new to me but this book made that real simple.java for dummies is packed with enough info, samples, references and explanations wow this book is realgood for boths learners like me, and semi pros. it covers everything that you need to get started andpacked with stuff to get you moving ahead.this book runs in at nearly 900 pages so i know i will be using this book for a long time.however i have one problem …… the paper quality is real poor but apart from thatis there anything that is perfect?many thanks to the author, you done a real good job with this one.

⭐Java was my first programming class, and I discovered two things. 1 – I love designing. 2 – I hated writing code. This was in part due to the fact that the class was teaching the language & the process of writing code all at the same time. There was no pseudo code for me, and my text book was more of a reference guide than a text book.I knew nothing about programming, and this book saved me! I cannot thank the author enough for the easy to understand explanations. Thanks to this book, I developed an appreciation for programming, made a B in the class, and actually enjoy writing code today. You won’t be a dummy after finishing this book!

⭐This book is great over all but It has a flaw.The book gives great detailed instructions if you are using Microsoft Windows, and all of the code is usable on other operating systems, but there are no instructions no how to use compilers or utilities for other operating systems.so if you use Gnu/Linux aka Linux, or Unix, or Unix based operating systems such as FreeBSD or Mac you may wish to avoid this book because of lack of instruction….if you do use the book look at installing GCC, GCC-C++ and GCJ…. for Linux,unix and mac… other apps are needed too but that will allow you to do most parts of the book.

⭐This book help me figure out the Java coding and programing. It was also clear and very easy to understand.This is a excelent book for those people that want to learn about Java. The refernces break down thespecific aera and explains howthe code works.

⭐Just learning or advanced this book is a keeper. It’s a great referance book to keep at arms lenght. I find it useful so much the binding is coming apart.

⭐I wish I would have purchased this book a long time ago. Very helpful!

⭐Easy to follow and very instructive. Any one from any level can follow an actually learn the basics without any problems.

⭐This is absolutely the best reference book for Java 6. I am waiting for the new one on Java 7 to be released, as I will buy it also.

⭐When first receiving the book you assume it’s going to be awesome because of how thick it is – but on actually reading it I found that it wasn’t great in actually explaining how to write Java – it’s more of a good way to learn what you can do with Java – I was a bit disappointed – though it did help me pass the Java module of my degree so it couldn’t be all bad

⭐Great series of books, I have bought others, easy to read and understand.
