Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐I found this book excellent for these reasons:- It explains what XP does, to the level you need.- It provides things you can do if you are timid about computers on up to if you are knowledgeable and macho.- It warns about when you need to think first- It warns about things to be avoided, definitely avoided- It recommends both hardware and software aids, in addition to what you can do within XP- It is fun and educational and has ultra clear instructions
⭐Have used it a few times but haven’t read the whole thing yet. It was shipped fast though and I’m sure it will come in handy.
⭐The book arrived in excellent condition and in a timely manner. Very easy and informative read. I recommend the book for people who aren’t into computers and don’t know too much about them.
⭐I used a lot of information out of this book. I then decided to switch to Mac and it is the best decision I ever made. I think of how many years I waisted trying to fix Windows when I could have been just using a computer instead.
⭐With XP no longer being supported, I need to know how it works better. Just because they should not go on the Internet, does not mean that I have to stop using that computer.
⭐Just haven’t been able to use it yet …..most of the dummy books seem to be good so I’m given at this rating have fun
⭐Computer dummies like me rely on claims written by so called experts. This book defines nothing. It merely points out features and operations dummies already know. I need to know why and and just what can I delete. When this book gets you to the end of an operation and you think it is going to suggest what to clean and what to leave, it just tells you to choose what you need and don’t need. That’s the part I don’t know.
⭐Having previously purchased other books in this line: I find them helpful and easy to understand for someone who is not a computer whiz. The book arrived in fine condition.
⭐My 2 year old PC had started to slow down and I had tried all the usual remedies without success. This book takes you chapter by chapter through the various strategies to clean/speed up uour PC, and not only do you end up with a better grasp of how your PC functions, it really does offer plenty of solutions to the inevitable clogging up of a PC. A word of warning, you will need to devote plenty of time to both reading the book and trying out the ideas, it is not a quick process.
⭐Extremely useful for a silver surfer and easily understood – Great!Would recommend it to anyone needing a helping hand from time to time without frills on all aspects of windows XP
