⭐I purchased it to practice on math.. I was going for a position in the Dept. Of Ed… Not a teaching position but assisting the teacher.. I had to pass the State Certification exams that were hours long and I was never good at math in School. This book more than equipped me for my tests! The tests questions seemed to be a lot easier than the practice sessions in the book which was great! I passed the tests so easily! Thanks

⭐I bought this because I’m going back to finish my college degree and I need all the help I can get where Math is concerned. I really, really like this book. Not only does it teach you how to do the problems with examples and written explanations, but the answers at the end of the chapter show how the problem should be completed. It’s the best.

⭐Great book to freshen up your basic math skills. I had to take a math entrance exam when I was getting into nursing school back in 2012 and this book helped me pass!

⭐i used this book to help me study for the Praxis II elementary education exam and it was very helpful and gave great examples and practice. It was very easy to follow along with. My son will continue using it as a guide for algebra this year.

⭐I wrote a review about the textbook, and the reasons I bought these as a set. The books are very thorough, follow along the same sequence as core standards- based books, so you could use them to help in homeschool, or as a home help guide for you public schooler. I like the fact that these books do not just provide extra practice, but sensible, nonthreatening explanations that help my girls “click onto” the concepts. I bought them for myself as well, as a refresher, but also to fortify my own math foundation. We’ll need it as we advance to higher levels, ie Trig, Calc.

⭐Don’t like math etc at all, but so far after a few chapters, it’s ok.

⭐Deciding to go back to school in my thirties and needing to refresh my math skills led me to this workbook. It’s been really straightforward and easy to understand but I just found a discrepancy in Chapter 4, so not 100% perfect. But other than that it’s been a great choice, I can’t believe I’m actually excited to continue working on math, something I always thought I was just no good at. If you feel like you got lost somewhere between basic math and algebra, give this book a shot.

⭐Rather expensive for what you get in comparison of other books in the series, in as much as it’s cheaply printed on low grade paper. The paper used is of very poor quality compared to other books in the ‘For Dummies’ range, it’s somewhat consistent with newspaper paper.I purchased the book for my daughter, to help with her maths. I can’t really fault the contents which are on the whole well presented.

⭐I’ve not taken math for 30+ years and had to start all over to qualify to go back to school. This book is an excellent help.

⭐Good book for getting the basics up to par. Would have given a 5 star rating but I spotted two mistakes in the answer keys.
