⭐I just started learning Portuguese and there are too many words I don’t know yet. I am an A0 and have been studying Duolingo for six months. This book is way too hard and I was hopeful I finally found a book for an A0 but this isn’t it.

⭐It can be a bit of a struggle reading some of the passages, but otherwise, I enjoyed it. The stories were mostly easy to follow. Aside from a word or two I didn’t understand, I easily followed it. It’s always fun learning new words and most importantly, enjoying the reading material you can find.I definitely recommend this to anyone trying to learn Portuguese.

⭐Good stuff but it’s not for beginners tho a little bit hard to understand once you learn it become easier

⭐When learning another language, it is important to study not only the language itself, like vocabulary and grammar, but also the culture and surrounding context in which the language exists. This particular collection of short stories provides a fun way to learn colloquial sayings, as they would be used in an everyday conversation, in a fashion that does not intimate or feel daunting in any way to the reader. Beginners can be easily discouraged if they think that their new language undertaking is maybe too much for them to handle. This book as a supplement to more concrete material will encourage the reader in a positive way with its approachable material.

⭐Enjoyed the stories, though they can be a bit contrived to get the point across or fit in more examples. I would call it more intermediate than beginner

⭐Good stories to further your Portuguese learning. Obviously stories are not meant for a true beginner. As you learn a bit more and have some grasp of grammar and basic vocabulary this book will be useful. As the author says it is hard to find stories at this level. You usually have to struggle through books that are to far ahead and need to keep looking the words up. This is a good inbetween level.

⭐The stories were simple and grew in complexity throughout the book. It is handy to have the audible version as well. It truly compliments the reading with listening.

⭐I am a low intermediate (B1-B2) in Portuguese and I find these stories very challenging. Having said that, the stories are enjoyable, and the book is well laid-out with useful vocab lists.

⭐Very practical and well laid out for the beginer

⭐Man, was this book a disappointment! It claims to have “engaging” stories. They’re not even stories! A proper short story has a conflict and a resolution. These don’t. I could’ve written better stories myself! Even though the ebook only cost $6, it was still $6 wasted.

⭐I love that it has comprehension questions!

⭐This book is very accessible for people that have just started to learn Portuguese, but also for people who are a bit more advanced. The stories are well written and the wordlist and quiz at the end of each story really helps a lot to solidify and test your skills. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to improve their Portuguese!
