Along with the text of the first edition of “Leptons and Quarks” it contains extracts from a number of books published by World Scientific and an article from “On the concepts of vacuum and mass and the search for higgs” available from www.worldscientific.com/worldscinet/mpla or from arxiv.org/abs/1212.1031.The book is unique in communicating the Electroweak Theory at a basic level and in connecting the concept of Lorenz invariant mass with the concept of the Extended Standard Model, which includes gravitons as the carriers of gravitational interaction.

⭐This is a dense, useful, concise classic on the Weak Interactions of elementary particles, which has done yeoman service in the community for a third of a century. It is full of utilitarian formulas, and devoid of heedless, superfluous or pointless ones—which is remarkably rare to encounter in the current literature.It gets to the heart of the physics involved in these formulas with a minimum of insightful comment, but no less! After a student is introduced to the Standard Model, this is the obvious go-to book to figure out what this SM really amounts to, in practice, after all.
