⭐I am disappointed in this book. I was expecting something better. The author spends minimal time actually addressing the text of Genesis. He does not leave room for you to write in the questions he asks at the end of each chapter.

⭐Nice study guide for the serious Bible student

⭐An excellent book. I highly recommend the “Encountering” Biblical Series for study. Not too difficult, not too easy. Much to glean from this (these) book(s). Further, Encountering the Book of Genesis is a great book to start with, because this is the book on which all other Biblical books hinge. Without a good understanding of Genesis, it is difficult to understand the other books of the Bible.

⭐Very fast shipping. Great product.

⭐This is a helpful tool for Bible study,but I would want to use it with another more detailed commentary. The questions seem a bit repetitious and superficial.

⭐A balance of readability and scholarly. Gives a good overview.

⭐Ripoff if you already own his New Cambridge Commentary on Genesis. Dumbed down repeat.

⭐I love this series, but I am extremely disappointed with the Kindle version. I bought

⭐but can’t use it on my Kindle Touch because it isn’t compatible. Boo! I can still read it on my computer but I prefer having it on my Kindle. So I say again, “Boo!”

⭐Really appreciated the format – accessible chapters and helpful summaries at the beginning of each chapter helps to frame your expectations.
