⭐I’m getting really annoyed at these worthless, shoddy “products” which are being palmed off as books on Amazon and elsewhere. This “product” is missing pages 135 to 378. That’s 244 pages missing in the middle of a 514 page book. This means that 47.5% of all of the pages are missing. If you ignore the index, that’s more than half of the text.If you go to[…], they will let you download 5 books for free. So I downloaded 3 copies of this book “A history of mathematics”, by Florian Cajori (ISBN-13: 978-1440042652), which was originally published in 1919. The second copy which they make available on their web site is the one which is very imperfectly printed here. The PDF on their web site has all of the pages. In fact, the PDF which they have chosen to print and supply through Amazon is the better of the 3 imperfect copies. However, they have omitted 244 pages. This is a truly astonishing failure of quality control. I just don’t know how they could accidentally omit 244 pages. ⭐This is an old classic book, but it is very hard to read in the Kindle format when virtually none of the mathematical formulas appear, and many mathematical symbols cannot be represented. Even the pure text is full of errors (as if some OCR program was trying to scan a very old, faded copy of the book).

⭐It cannot be read because it has wrong formatting,there is no picture (kindle edition) like in printed edition. Do not buy kindle edition.

⭐Unfortunately this book is written around 1900 and suffers from a lack of vision not only of later developments, but also of the implications of many of the discoveries of the XIX century.
