⭐If ever there was a need for Dover to reprint a book that time forgot it is this one. This is far and away themost elementary and well-written treatment of Green’s functions I have yet come across. The book is short/concise butempowers the reader to tackle other more advanced works or to actually use Green’s Functions to solveODE/PDE’s. What more can you ever ask for out of a textbook ?If you can find a used copy of this hard to find classic jump on it.
⭐A mathematicians delight. Previously studied “Green’s Theorem” alongside “Stoke’s Theorem” and finally found the connection.
⭐Fantastic reference book. Walks through equations in a logical manner, gives the basic foundations on which to understand Green’s functions and is not a giant textbook. Nice reference for your desk or desk adjacent bookshelf.
⭐Quite good. Regret not finding it sooner, but even Dover has limits on what it may publish.

⭐This is the best book for beginer in Green’s function mehtod.
⭐This book is wonderful. I came across it in the Binghamton University library. It is short, perhaps 120 pages or so, and very accessible. Absolutley perfect…I just wish there were answers to selected exercises.
⭐Not a very accessible text for persons without a strong mathematical theory background. Some examples need to be improved and there appears to be little flow to the organization of the text.
