⭐ This collection of delightful short stories are erotica for the brain, meaning the delight is more of the imagination and of subtlety rather than raw or gross and detailed descriptions of bodily activities and positions. As such it does not fail to surprise and please without smashing you over the head.

⭐ John Burdett, Thai erotica, how can you lose. I’ve read most of his books and loved ’em, esp. his Buddhist cop. Leave it to him to pic good erotica.

⭐ Most of the authors in this book are above average to excellent for short story erotica. The only real problem was the length of the book, TOO SHORT!!! I look forward to keeping track of and reading more from these regional authors in the future.

⭐ I was not sure what to expect with this when i bought it, but in reality it is an awful read talk about self serving crap, i am no prude but this guys propensity for his own performance and his use of the women he maintains he had,and how he used them, which i doubt actually happened, is not worth the time to read, luckily i only paid 99c or there abouts.Please do not write any more.

⭐ No matter the genre of the story, I always felt that there should be a beginning, middle, and end. Many erotic stories are more about ‘the act’ and ‘the description of the act’ rather than giving us both characterization and…well…sex. This pertains to many of the stories in Best of Asian Erotica.Two stories stand out to me, and both are interestingly by Singaporean authors. (I studied abroad in Singapore in 2011, and hope to return). The first story that appealed to me was the first story in the book: ‘A Dummy’s Guide to Losing Your Virginity.’ This story actually plays into the stereotype of the SPG (Sarong Party Girl) who is a Singaporean Girl who wears a sarong…looking for a relationship with a white, European man no matter if he is married. The girl in this story happens to be ‘dating’ or losing her virginity to a white Frenchman. While this story does play on the stereotype of the loose Asian female looking for a white man to take care of her, author Meihan Boey writes and describes the occurrence in this short in a very sexy way. Granted, there isn’t really a story, more of an anecdote…a sexy anecdote that is tightly written and doesn’t overstay its welcome. The second story, named ‘A Perfect Exit,’ is by another Singaporean author, Aaron Ang. This story is about an elderly guy who chooses a pretty young girl to help him die by sex; the twist is interesting. ‘A Quick Exit’ would actually have a semblance of a story that includes a beginning, middle, and end…and a problem out ‘hero’ has to solve.While a quick read, some of the other stories are forgettable. Some of the stories would show up in the Best of Southeast Asian Erotica, and I would wonder why stories like ‘A Quick Exit’ didn’t make it. Overall, I ‘liked’ the book, but it could have been so much better.

⭐ This can’t be what passes for erotica in Asia, the scenes are mild at best and not very erotic. It’s doubtful this will get your juices flowing.

⭐ A bunch of short stories, some of which are amusingly titillating.

⭐ Beautiful series of short stories. The Asian trend also helps. Each author’s style gives each story it’s individual flavour and colour

⭐ Thought it might be a bit more risque’ than it was. Asian erotica lead me to expect something on lines of the emanuelle series
