⭐This is the first volume of yet another accessible account (in three volumes) of algebraic geometry.This volume treats 1. category and limits, 2. introductory horological algebra, 3. introductory sheaf theory, 4. sheaf cohomology and 5. Riemann-Roch theorem.Let me list the pros and cons, as that will explain why I gave only three stars to this book.Pros — Easy to read. Many examples.Cons — A lot of typos and inconsistencies in notations (sometimes due to erroneous usage of LaTeX.)I guess this volume is meant to be an introduction to the subject.And I am convinced it would have fully achieved its objective if the authour (or semeone else) had spent more time in proofreading the manuscript.I will give five stars if he corrects the problem in a revised edition in the near future.
