⭐Every Plato fan should read this challenging yet rewarding text.

⭐Not a bad philosophy- definitely creepy and weird once I realized the whole conversation/ topic of evaluation what is knowledge appears to be a way of grooming, to explore the young boy’s mind. They manipulate the boy into discovering more true topics of what knowledge is, but as you read the beginning the older male clearly expresses his sexual inclination towards the boy and the whole conversation is a way of getting to know the boy better, with another mind rather than the predator’s own, he utilizes Socrates on his behalf to further explore knowledgeable concepts. I’m stepping into the realm of philosophy, but damn, this was not the same as Nietzche who expresses his thoughts and has ‘dark humor’ about the dark side of humanity itself nor was it like Adam Smith who elaborates on the philosophy of economics.

⭐Just for Burnyeat’s introduction. For the translation text, it’s easy to get in Cooper’s (ed.).

⭐If youre just looking for Plato’s Theaetetus this isn’t what you’re looking for. The theaetetus is included at the end as the last 90 pages, but the first 200 are either a very long introduction or an essay on the dialogue. It was interesting though, so even though i didn’t need this edition and meant to buy the much smaller text of just the theaetetus from hackett, im not upset.
