Description

High redshift quasars, low redshift ejecting galaxies, aligned X-ray clusters, gamma ray bursters, supposed gravitational lenses, quantized intrinsic redshifts – this book presents examples of empirical patterns of associations that repeat from region to region in the sky, suggesting evolutionary sequences and new fundamental physics. Each catalogue entry furnishes critical objects for further investigation.

⭐I am a longtime reader of Arp’s writings. He has been out of favor with the contemporary astronomy community by forever coming up with new observational data that is in conflict with current theory. While it seems too far out to believe that he is right and everyone else is wrong, still he is competent and has reported many observations that challenge conventional theory. I am not an astronomical physicist by training but I am fairly widely read and I think he deserves more attention than he receives. The funding community tends to motivate everyone to fall in line with whatever the conventional wisdom dictates. The onus is on those who offer nonconventional theory/observations to prove their case. Arp has been fighting this uphill battle for many years. One of these apparently aberrant families of observations is the family of discordant red shift objects which appear to be physically connected with larger, more conventional objects exhibiting “normal” red shifts. If there were only a few such aberrant cases, we could all shrug them off as anomalies of some unknown nature. But, Arp has doggedly pursued these strange examples and now presents an updated catalog of such examples.I admire his dogged persistence! How many more such strange examples must he present before other members of the community show interest in understanding just what is happening? Red shifts can be produced by recessional velocity (Doppler effect) or if the radiation has to climb out of a gravitational well. Can these apparently anomalous objects have some sort of black hole morphology in which the radiation has to climb a steep gravitational hill before leaving the origin? I am not smart enough to know, but I am smart enough to admire Arp for his persistence as a pursuer of these examples of something strange. Is his latest catalogue worth reading? I think “yes” and I hope he succeeds in directing attention by more of the community to explaining this apparently aberrant family of objects.

⭐This book is an excellent companion to “Seeing Red: Redshifts, Cosmology and Academic Science” and is a must have for anyone interested in cosmology. This is especially true if you are serious about actual science. It is of utmost importance to seek the truth by learning the different sides of any argument, no matter which side you may happen to agree with.If you are unwilling to even hear someone out, then you are already wrong and have lost the argument; because you have given up on seeking truth. Challenge yourself to find what ideas are out there, even if you believe that other point of view is mistaken. You will gain greatly in the world of knowledge and possibilities.

⭐This, alone with Arp’s other works, is a necessity in any serious astronomer. If you dismiss it based on other’s opinions, then you admit to bowing to dogma/faith, and not utilizing empiricism, experiment, and observation to conduct science. That is, read it yourself with an open mind and you’d be surprised. It should be easy enough for, at least, some of you to directly verify these claims.

⭐Want to applaud Halton ARP, this is truly a new paradigm that if given heed will lead us to better understand this universe we live in.

⭐I have 3 of Arp’s books. His Catalog book is available at Cal-Tech’s website. Cal-Tech did to Arp what the Pope did to Galileo, but that is lost on the establishment insiders.

⭐Dr. Arp was tragically marginalized by mainstream astronomers for his challenge to accepted cosmological Hubble redshift distance measurement. This book documents why his observations will eventually vindicate his work.

⭐Excellent book!

⭐Deserved a Nobel Prize – instead he got fired by the thought police. If you speak against the King of the World (Big Bang) you will be excommunicated (they would prefer execution!).If any of you know of any BB theorist who has actually addressed Arp’s data, instead of ignoring it, pleas let me know.

⭐Fascinating book, Arp will be vindicated one day
