    User’s Reviews

Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐Nice collection of life stories and how they frame living beyond the original events. I think we all have these stories but Bill writes about his so well. Lighthearted and somewhat self depreciating on occasion, Bill balances inspiration with a great since of humor. It’s really an easy read with profound truths.

⭐Bought the book and love it so much I also ordered a kindle version. This book is deep and light-hearted all at the same time. It’s wisdom and laughter partnered together. A very uplifting and enjoyable read. I’d recommend this book to anyone. Hope there will be a 3rd!

⭐This is classic Bill Johnson just writing as he speaks! Great nuggets of truth in the everyday stories!

⭐Not so much! But, I enjoyed reading of Bill’s exploits, in his younger days. It definitely IS one of the lighter books he’s written

⭐Loved it very informative & Bill Johnson Follower

⭐This book was so light and airy that you almost don’t feel like you have to review it. But because of so much controversy sounding this ministry I figure I should add my positive remarks. Number 9 Restitution “A good family upbringing is like a full bank account. It means you may start out ahead of others, but it’s no guarantee of where you’ll end up. It depends on what you do with what you have.” “Many feel that they will lose face before the ones who are supposed to respect them. The truth is that we only lose face when we pretend we’re right and everyone else in the house knows we have blown it.” “….my heart given in repentance. It is weak without his strength, distracted without his fellowship, and all too willing to pursue sin without his Holy Spirit insisting on my need for humility.” “Heart disease is the number one killer, both in the natural and spiritual. The heart disease I refer to is mentioned in Proverbs: “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” “I’ve tried cheap because of guilt, it usually backfires, though.” “Try as I might, I could never get a handle on the internal shakes that seem to coincidentally arrive at the same time as the noise.” Seeing friends enjoy something is often better than enjoying it for ourselves. That must be why Jesus said, “It is better to give than to receive”. ‘Is it possible that my intolerance of noise is a godly characteristic, similar to his intolerance or clanging cymbals- religious form without godly love? “I don’t mind saying I’d rather spend a lot for one item, come away with quality, than spend the same amount for three items of questionable quality.” “Pride cares very much what I think I look like to you. But when I rediscover the childlike quality of real faith, I find the heart to learn and the willingness even to look silly. (If the truth be known, we look our silliest while trying to look good to others.) “Sometimes dreaming about catching fish is the very thing that hinders us from catching fish. We all have dreams and desires for our lives. Pursuing them is harder than dreaming them.” “One gentleman swore that eating a whole onion (raw) every day was what kept him alive so long.” “Her thankfulness keeps her young. The absence of criticism and anger has not only probably added years to her life, it has added a quality of life that even the rest of us can draw from.” “Remember, take charge of your life by thinking small. It’s the small things that count.’ “To read anything in print today (except the Bible), you have to know how to eat the meat and throw out the bones.’ “We felt that to be smart we had to think and act like others, often sacrificing honesty.” Brokenness is our greatest strength, humility is our greatest honor, and inability is our greatest opportunity for power.” “The idea of a “roast” where people take turns putting someone down in the name of humor is as far removed from the Gospel as is a dirty joke.” “Our culture has lost much of its admiration for age.” “I’m also wondering if the distaste for birthdays is indicative of a lost passion for growth.” “Perhaps the general dislike for birthdays among adults has nothing to do with the spiritual condition of our day”. “Did you know that in scripture, the critical person criticized in someone else what was wrong in his or her own life? (See Luke 6:42) “And you’re going to find yourself in the most contradictory position you’ve ever seen-receiving more criticism and yet seeing more people saved. You’ll wonder why so many bad things are being said about you, concurrent with so many people being radically saved.” “This requires more than speaking your thoughts. It is concerned with how the other person hears us. In other words, communication is not speaking your mind; it is speaking the other person’s language. The overall heart of this as a Christian skill is concern for the other person.” “Do I want to win the battle (argument) or win the war (relationship)? The natural person has to be right.” “What makes us good listeners is the excitement we must have for the other person’s interests. “I’ve always been one to spend money on an object over and above an experience. My reasoning has always been that you have something to show for it after the money is gone. After the special meal, what do you have besides indigestion? “I bind the demon of poverty in the Name of Jesus that’s trying to stifle the creativity of the Christians. Lord I come against the poverty forces trying to suppress Christianity in this area and I bind it in the Name of Jesus, and we cast it out in the Name of the Lord and we release prosperity for these people. praise the Lord, it’s coming.”

⭐Bill Johnson has never disappointed me! I bought this book along with the other with of a similar title. He’s not a religious guy, but a friend of God, so his perspective on many things yields thought provoking lessons, as well as belly chuckling humor! Was able to enjoy each short story without any pressure to “Finish” right away! I can highly recommend this book!

⭐This is the second book ‘Center of the Universe Too’ I read his first one. It was so refreshing, full of great stories and teaching. Very light hearted fun. I knew this one was coming out too. I have been looking forward to reading it and I’m not disappointed.Bill has a great way of communicating through story telling. A great read
