Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐This Kindle book was advertised as containing 65 pages. It did have 65 pages. However, there were only 41 pages about Chihuahuas. The remaining pages were advertisements for other publications by the author or the publishing company. The training instructions for how to train a Chihuahua were simplistic, not satisfactorily explained or skimpy in details and depth of the subject matter.I want a refund. I didn’t pay for 24 pages of advertisements and non applicable non sensical informationI want a refund.

⭐I LOVE this line of unassuming books. I love reading them in public as people reveal themselves with snarky remarks. It’s like having X-Ray goggles in their soul! LOL! Seriously, though, Dummies Guide books are the greatest. I bought several dogs, several years ago and AFTER the fact, bought the Dummies Guide on them. Every page I turned, it was “didn’t do that,” “should have done that,” or “could have prevented that!” Never again. I read the book BEFORE wading into the breed in this case, or the field, as these wonderful guides are just that; wonderful guides. I’ve actually purchased them on two other toy dog breeds that were most informative and saved me TONS of troubles, heartaches and money by NOT going any further! ANY time I am venturing into uncharted waters…I first check to see if there is an Dummies Guide. It’s OK to be a dummy BEFORE you do your due diligence. There’s no excuse in being one after! UPDATE: IT doesn’t provide the KEY information that I actually can’t seem to find ANYWHERE. DIET! Every expert talks @ the importance of a balanced diet and EVEN mentions proteins and carbs…BUT? What is the recommended ratios? For puppies? Adults? Seniors? I’m seeing TOY breed food out there with anything from 24% to 56% PROTEIN! HELP!

⭐I thought this was really simple, it wasn’t specific necessarily to Chihuahuas but to dogs in general…I feel like they use the same text for all dogs and just change up a few things to make it applicable. I know this sounds like I am being sensitive, but I also thought the author’s view point on dogs was sometimes kind of hard to relate to. In the sections on adopting a puppy, there was some reference to not getting stuck with a sick one – instead of how to help a sick puppy, and in the section on putting your dog to sleep, the author seemed very detached and not like a real pet owner. It kind of turned me off.

⭐Great reference for those of us new to this breed. I recommend this book highly. It’s an easy read and you can always go back and refer back to it later. If you’ve never had a Chihuahua, please buy the book.I was not a big fan of the breed, until our family decided to rescue one. They have a bad rap and for good reasons. They have not been trained properly and owned by people who are not dog lovers. Our Chih is still a pup and is the center of our family. He’s cute and cuddly and has a unique relationship with all of us. Without the book, we wouldn’t have understood his needs. They have unique traits, but with the book you understand why.Great gift for a new Chih owner.

⭐You get a Chihuahua and need more info? This is the book. It is loaded with important info about Chihuahuas. Things I thought were odd about my Chi, turns out this book says they are normal. Glad I got this book to understand my Chi better.

⭐I’m planning to get a chihuahua in the near future and collecting as much information as possible. I found this book to be very informative and interesting. It dispels a lot of myths that make people think chihuahuas are a horrid breed! I’m still working on my husband, who is in that mindset, and this book is definitely helping!

⭐This was the 1st book I got when I rescued an abused Chi.& I was NOT disapointed. It addresses every topic you would want a book about Dog owenership to have.I learned a lot & both myself & dog are better for having read this book.We reference this book often since we read it cover to cover. Easy to read & understand. & I have recommended it to every1 I know that has a Chi or is thinking about getting 1.Pet shops have this book for $19.95 most pet shops are limited on the books they sell.So I looked it over there b4 i ordered it online & saved tons of $$$.Well worth it whatever the price. & to families with children, they too can read this & understand it.So the burdan of caring for a family pet will be just that, a pet who is cared for by the whole family.Buy this book, your Chi will thank YOU.

⭐I’ve never owned a house pet and never wanted one. But I basically inherited one from my son and daughter-in-law who had rescued a two-year-old that had been abandoned at the dump. After he was cleaned up, he was a beautiful, long-haired, caramel-and-white chihuahua. He had a sweet personality, so we fell in love with him right away. They are having a baby and felt they needed to find the dog a new home. We couldn’t help it–we took him in! But I had NO idea what to do with the little guy–how to give him a bath, groom him, feed him, play with him! Wow…this book was a lifesaver! Our little dog is happy as he can be and we are more confident owners.

⭐I bought this book to see if there was any information in it that would help with my fearful rescue Chihuahua. I haven’t read the whole book yet, I just read the chapters covering training and socializing which were very helpful. I would recommend this book to anyone thinking about buying or rescuing a Chihuahua as it covers ever topic that you would need to know about.

⭐As a new chihuahua puppy owner this helped me in the first couple weeks or so. It is basic information but when you’re buying a ‘for dummies’ book this is what you’d expect – the basics to get you started!I found it repetitive at a few parts and have now moved past the information contained, however i really appreciated the help in the book to get me started and more confident with my puppy.

⭐Packed with everything you need to know about chihuahuas, really useful facts to know whether you already have a chihuahua or thinking of getting one. Tips on how to keep your dog healthy e.g. what to feed and to not feed your dog, advice on worming/vaccination/flea treatments and raising your chihuahua from a puppy or elder etc. Would definitely recommend, easy reading and good to pick up whether your unsure about anything.

⭐Good book with tips & advice on everything you need to know for your new puppy.

⭐I found it invaluable. The training part of it helped me and my little man greatly. Lets put it this way my little man does 12 tricks in 2-3 months. All thanks to this book. It has made me understand him a little better as well. There’s lots of tips and tricks that help you with all your Chihuahua needs. This is a must have book in your collection.
