⭐ entertaining but not one of his best..most of JHC books are very good but perhaps onlly for readers over forty years old,Young people, sometime cannot get used to books written 50 years ago, with a shortage of mobiles computers and ATMs,

⭐ The drive to get the fast buck is just the start of a perilous journey towards failur. James Hadley Chase always had a clear message in all his books. Crime doesn’t pay. Another nice one!

⭐ As usual with novels by James Hadley Chase, this one brings together various dramatis personae, in this instance, and kidnappers and a business tycoon whose daughter is kidnapped. The motive for kidnapping is however not clear as simple blackmail by itself is a compelling raison d’etre. Thus, there is a flaw in the plot of the story. Still, the narrative is quintessentially James Hadley Chase. There are twists and turns and a seemingly foolproof kidnapping plan comes apart in the face of unexpected events, with the sinister Lu Silk, the brains behind the kidnapping, himself becoming a candidate for murder.

⭐ No padding in this great writers books, just great action from go to whoa with with real characters.This story positively races to it’s conclusion. Another sizzling read from this master story teller.

⭐ I am re reading this novel Fast and gripping. Good for pastime.
