⭐Shipping-wise, I received the item in excellent condition–no corner wear, stickers, or stamps.Content-wise, this is a worthy successor to K.L. Johnson’s book. In fact, I prefer it because it catches us up on the last 35 or so years of research contributions. I would have liked to see a bit more details in the beginning on calculating the depth of first yield for elliptic contact (very minor nit). But I was very glad to see him go into such detail later about topics like layered contact. Most importantly, Barber very clearly lays out the development of basic contact mechanics using language that can be easily understood by practically-minded engineers.
