Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐This book is easy to understand and comprehend. I would give five stars if I felt it didn’t repeat itself. It definitely did a couple times, just rewording same lesson. Didn’t happen that many times but when I read that in books, I feel the writer/writers are reaching and trying to just fill pages. Even so, I learned quite a bit. I have really bad ADHD and I get distracted easy, but this was easy to pay attention to for long durations. I appreciate this book immensely. I haven’t started my classes yet, but this helped me prepare for sure! Fantabulous!

⭐Waste of money for me. Might be good for others who have no clue about the system. Shop around for other books before buying this one.

⭐Love it so far, the author wrote it in a way where the information is easy to understand and remember

    ⭐Amazing

⭐Didn’t get to read yet, but I’m very interested so I’m sure I’ll love it! Cover had some minor damage but all pages are 100%! Interested in entering the law enforcement career.

    ⭐Very helpful and resourceful insight

⭐Tremendous book! Excellent for those who are in the Criminal Justice field. It breaks every topic down in a way everyone can understand it. Recommend it a 100%.

    ⭐It does the job

⭐As a former criminal justice worker I find this book a bit disappointing as large parts of this book deal with USA crime and punishment. If you are studying Criminology in Britain, or have an interest, I might be tempted to suggest there are other books worth reading.

⭐The book is well written and easy to understand. The author is very thorough and knows his stuff. I bought this book to give myself an idea what criminology is all about before committing to formal further studies on the subject. My only niggle about the book is that it focussed on the American judicial system. It does however make you realise the vast number of people involved in trying to prevent crime, uphold the law, arrest criminals, detect crime, lawyers, courts, judges, prison system and probation. The book has wetted my appetite to delve deeper into criminology.

⭐I’m finding this book ok in general for reference purposes. However, I am in the UK and this book seems to refer mostly to the USA. I am not certain at this early stage of my studies how relevant this is?

⭐I enjoy this book. I like the writing style and I think it makes things clear and easy to understand but it is such a shame that it is SO focused on USA and not on anywhere else. It’s very limited for anyone outside of the US which I find very disappointing. Overall, a good book and I’m sure it’s very useful for those within the USA.

⭐I bought this book for my daughter to help her start studying for criminology, she a bit obsessed with with crime stories at the moment but a real interest in the criminal mind
