User’s Reviews
Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐This book shows how until this very day the Cosmovision Andina, the Quechua „Inca“ culture and many key details about it, can still not be understood. No matter how much they research and consult books, they do not even get the stories straight and translate the meaning of the words in cut dry non sense translations. One thing is true, this book is a huge disappointment and very old dated, even the second version of it. As a person who belongs to the Andean culture and grew up hearing information about the „Inca“ culture from school, books, from simple people and from everywhere around, this book is an insult. It relates it’s stories as though they were there and formulate premises based on their own understandings on how and why the „incas“ behaved this or this other way, but without a real knowledge of the culture, like an ET talking about humans in the past, but an ET that never really landed on earth and never really understood the real meaning of human words, sounds, etc. No, this is not really informative, if you like some obscure speculation about an ancient culture, something like watching Indiana Jones, then buy and read this book. Otherwise, just travel to Andean regions and talk with a knowledgeable guide, try to engage with simple, common people and you will be closer to understanding that culture as by reading this book, because even silences do say lots about a people. This book is insulting!
