⭐I didn’t understand most of the squares and squiggles, but the rest of the content made a convincing argument against the use of torture even I could comprehend. It wavers in style between academic and paperback-thriller in its prose, which makes it hard to follow in parts. The arguments and conclusions are sound. The best thing I can say about the book and the author is that it is people like him that should be directing policy in counter terrorism strategy, rather than the politicians and pundits that currently do it.
