Editorial Reviews: Review “Throughout the volume, the interdisciplinary character of the contributions is evident: history and the history of education, along with art history and Dutch and Neo-Latin literature. In addition, a methodology that is very much in evidence is that of prosopography, reflecting again the influence of Ridder-Symoens as scholar and mentor of many of the contributors…All in all, these contributions represent a fitting tribute to the honoree and her circle and at the same time constitute a valuable contribution to the social history of learning.”Paul Knoll, Sixteenth Century Journal, 2005.
