⭐As a electrical engineer, having a profound understand of electromagnetic theory is quite neccesary. Yet, problems in such theory that appear in engineering are quite different from in physics. So a book of the electromagnetic theory for engineering is needed, as optical communication is playing a more and more important role in modern society. Electromagnetic Theory For Microwaves and Optoelectronics perfectly meets our needs. It treats with the behavior of electromagnetic wave delicately, with careful calculation and plenty diagrams. While other books (as J.D.Jackson’s Classical electrodynamics) only have a brief interview to it, which is enough in physics, and they treat the case of a sphere more than cylinder,which is essential in engineering. As a book written for electromagnetic wave, it doesn’t include the staid field theory. So it is quite suitable for a advanced learner as a reference book or for a graduate student as a textbook.
