Description

Now in its second edition, Environmental Engineering: Fundamentals, Sustainability, Design by Mihelcic and Zimmerman has evolved from the traditional approach centered on describing, characterizing, quantifying, and monitoring current environmental problems to one that is focused on the design and development of innovative new solutions. The breadth and depth of coverage is appropriate for a one-semester undergraduate course, having been streamlined to a manageable 11 chapters in the new edition.

Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐There are a multitude of typos, and several of the “Examples” that are worked through in the chapters – even though set up correctly – show mathematically incorrect (and often mathematically hilarious) solutions. Some material is presented without explanation of dependent variables, so the student is left to “turn to the internet” to find out what constant, or formula, or principle is involved.

⭐There are so many typos in this book it got to the point that you couldn’t really trust any of the book answers. It’s filled with interesting facts and I enjoyed reading it, but the practice problems were a constant practice of engineering judgement to determine if they were believable

⭐It seems to me this is a very good textbook for an undergraduate course, or introductory course, on the subject of Environmental Engineering. Presenting many issues, rather controversial, but up to date. Th sustainability issue has been acceptably treated.I liked the presentation of different themes, as well as, the application problems and group discussions.Good effort, nicely printed¡

⭐Loved the fact that I can rent instead of buy! Book was excellent for what I needed.

⭐Came just in time for class but some errors in stoichiometry

⭐Arrived in two days instead of the two weeks. Very impressed.

⭐Perfect! It came in an amazing condition and was brand new.

⭐Good deal.

⭐This book was helpful for my Environmental Engineering courses.
