⭐Definitely my favourite Optics textbook. It’s very “old school” in terms of the way it approaches optics. and indeed it is an old textbook, but it’s certainly one of the better ones. It made me really love and appreciate optics in a much better way than some of the more modern textbooks, which tend to skim over lots of the more interesting topics and some of the harder basics. This textbook has a very thorough and clear approach and is certainly a good supplement to 1st Year (and some 2nd Year) university courses requiring optics (e.g. Physics and NatSci) but could also appeal to a good A-level student wanting to further their knowledge.
