Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐I love the dummy books, so very helpful and easy to follow. I’ve used them for trips to Spain, Scotland, and Ireland. I highly recommend them.

⭐Germany for Dummies was very helpful, and I must say adequate, but I felt it needed a little more language translation and I thought it should have shown a few of the street signs…of which there are many and when you need them, not enough. It helped us pick several hotels and they were very nice, but it felt a little like they promote the Romantik hotels. I don’t recall it even mentioning the Colmberg Castle, outside of Rothenburg, which was probably the best stay we had in Germany. Overall, a very useful tool. I have used several books on my travels and most give way too much information. The Germany for Dummies didn’t quite give enough but because I had used the Ireland for Dummies book which was outstanding, I guess I expected all of them to be that good. The Germany book is not as good as the Ireland edition, but I would still recommend it rather highly.I sat next to a young man from Germany on the way over and we went through the book together, he seemed to think it was pretty good, but he really got a kick out of the title.

⭐A dummies book that gets you on board with what you need to know about Germany. Wether it’s for a school paper or just personal research this book is for you.

⭐Handy book with great tipsFor travel.

⭐I bought this for my mom, she had checked out a copy from the local library. She really liked all the references, and said she’d like to have a copy on our travels, so I searched it on amazon, found it used. The book was exactly as described and it was mailed within a couple of days. And it happened to be a newer revision then the library copy, so more material!

⭐This is a truly delightful and informative guide to Germany, and it’s not like any other I’ve seen. I love the sections on Books and Movies, and also Wine. You don’t usually find those in guidebooks. Olson’s got it nailed. He also knows Berlin very well, and that section is full of great information. Great guide!
