Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐As an interior designer and Realtor, this book was helpful by putting in words the psychology of buyers when viewing houses and of sellers trying to get there homes ready for showing and photoshoot. The only chapter I very much disagree with is the one on photography. I would suggest that after going to all the work and expense to get a property ready, hire a professional photographer! Photos are the first glimpse a buyer has of your property so they need to be excellent!! Having a high end camera is fine but unless you really know how to use it at a pro level, you will still get mediocre photos, burned out windows, crooked horizontals and verticals, terrible flash reflections and shadows, etc. For example, just because you have the same golf clubs as a professional golfer, that doesn’t mean you will play like a pro. The equipment does not a professional make. The suggestions for staging were good for someone not in the field.

⭐Only color page in the entire book is the front cover – makes it hard to see and identify with the photos in the book. Frankly, the black and white keeps it from being fun to read too so I can’t say if the whole book is useful or not.

⭐There was SOME information for homeowners who want to prepare their homes for sale, but most of the book was about the nitty gritty of hiring someone else to do it for you. Remember when MLS wasn’t available online and you had to trust a realtor, who knew her optimistic script by heart? This is the home staging counterpart to that era. Reading this book felt like they were telling me I was too dumb to understand anything while keeping the information for themselves – and telling me to hire someone smarter.

⭐This is more of an incentive to use a staging professional than information on what is done and how it’s done during the process.

⭐This book is just okay. Teaches you a few new things if you are new to home staging. Most of the pictures look old and outdated, like they were taken in the 80’s. Some of the “after” pictures look no better than the “before” pictures.

⭐The back of my books said there are 8 full color pages. I contacted the publisher and they told me where to look after a few email exchanges and the pictures i sent of the pages they said would be in Color… they stopped responding. they seem unwilling to fix the problem. apparently they need to write a book on Customer Service for Dummies…and then read it themselves.

    ⭐Good to own this book

⭐Nice book for beginners or for someone that has a career in interior design and is looking to expand services.

⭐I read this for comfort when I look at my messy flat.Lacking in colour pics and a bit basic so mainly for ideas.

⭐Great book – using it for research for my dissertation and it is easy to read and very informative. Naturally, some information / photos are slightly dated so something to be considered when reading it if you are reading it for staging a property.

    ⭐Interesting and helpful.

⭐Found it was a very useful book, it explained the whole concept of Homestaging in stages so that it was doable. Would highly recommend this book.

    ⭐Good reading. Old but gold.
