Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐I studied this book for my graduate introduction to functional analysis. It provides a systematic and rigorous approach to the subject. Highly recommend it.

⭐I can’t think of a better place to begin learning functional analysis. The book is ideally suited for undergraduates or beginning graduates who have had one or two semesters of real analysis, linear algebra, and possibly topology. The author seemed extremely lucid with clear worked out examples. Phrases like “it’s obvious” or “it should be clear” were not so frequent. It’s quite a beautiful subject, with the last chapter providing a nice payoff application in terms of an introduction to quantum mechanics.May be my only complaint was that the exercises seemed mostly five-finger ones. With that said, they should still challenge an undergraduate or beginning graduate, if not force them to re-visit the definitions and basic methods of proof.I’ve always thought Rudin’s “Mathematical Analysis” book deserved the title of “Best Undergraduate Math Text Ever”, but this book has made me rethink that position.

⭐The print quality is bad. But no complaints because it’s too cheap

⭐This text is for my first course in Functional Analysis. The subject is abstract but enjoyably scientific in flavor; it seems to have many applications outside of pure mathematics. The text is easy enough to read (although some of the proofs are hard to understand) and the exercises are accessible enough that I could recommend it to anyone who has studied Calculus and maybe Linear Algebra. It seems like a book interesting and accessible to students of Physics and Engineering as well as those of Mathematics.

⭐I am about 1/3 way through the text and so far I enjoyed reading the text a lot. The author takes time to explain the theorems and even more importantly emphasizes concepts that are of importance. Excellent book for self study. Highly recommended!

⭐Excelente libro para empezar en Análisis Funcional.Best introductory book to study the subject. It is adopted as the textbook in my university, on a post-grad discipline. Professor Kreyszig was very successful when he decided to write about that interesting subject for teaching students of engineering and of Mathematics. I am very glad to have bought this book. LAN

⭐Nice book as expected

⭐As usual, Kreyszig’s didactic talent is at work here, via leaving little room for desperately outguessing the unsaid, contrary to the majority of authors who excel at writing indigestible books…This is the ideal book for self-teaching Functional Analysis and you can also couple it to either of the following video series :- UCCS , given by Greg Morrow who uses Kreyszig’s book.- DTUdk, given by Ole Christensens who uses his own book.

⭐I recommend this book.I especially like the way he treats the themes ofBanach spaces and Hilbert spaces. It is a good book to start studying functional analysis

⭐A useful book to help with learning Topology and continues to Functional Analysis which is useful for a mathematics student! Have used this book quite often since buying it as it is easy to follow and understand.

⭐This is a review for Wiley and the publisher taking the Indian market for granted. It is not for the content of this book, or the author.—Wiley is infamous for its cheap made-for-India red-books which are made from old newspaper quality prints. These prints are worse than the second hand copies you get in some markets. You make notes with a pen on one side, it smudges to the other side. In fact their own printing smudges to the other side. On top of this, the paper is cut wrongly, some papers are stuck together, some pages are wrinkled. The list goes on.This book is another from this infamous stable. I pick it up to read, and feel like closing the book. Even books at a cost of Rs 100 (much lower cost than this book) have better print quality. Are they trying to increase their profit margins to this extent? Does Wiley think Indian customers are substandard that they give us substandard products? If they are unable to get technical books at low cost, might as well give away rights for these books to another publisher instead of putting the reader through this!

⭐Un libro que no puede faltar en el estudio del análisis funcional. Cada tema es expuesto de manera clara y los problemas expuestos al final de cada sub tema te ayudarán a reforzar los conocimientos adquiridos.
