⭐When I was preparing lecture notes on special relativity (SR), I looked at about 50 books on the subject. A few clearly stood out as excellent treatments; this was one of them. The arguments are well developed and easy to follow. The level of the presentation requires some familiarity with the mathematics that physics and engineering undergraduates typically study (in the U.S.). The length of the book is appropriate (254 pages) for a one semester course or a program of self study.Rosser’s early book on SR, An Introduction to the Theory of Relativity, 1964, is as good but longer (500 pages). If you have time for a more in-depth study, I would recommend it.
