Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐I bought this book shortly after I picked up the hobby last summer, and it’s been a great help ever since. I get together with other knitters occasionally, at the nearby yarn shop, and this book has sometimes clarified their guidance and advice. At other times, the book has brought techniques to my attention about which I can ask other knitters their experience. Overall, it’s been more useful to me than a couple other knitting books I’ve found.

⭐I have read through some of this book, and it seems like it will be easy to follow.

⭐I bought it for my granddaughter after teaching her to knit. She was thrilled with it.

⭐An absolute must for beginners or just to have around for all levels of knitting! The illustrations are large enough to actually SEE the details needed to learn. No need for fast videos! The language is simple and explains your every move. You will take this with you whenever toting your latest project. Best knitting investment I’ve made!!

⭐This book is about the size of my cell phone and I hate it. I was expecting the usual Dummies size book because I know somebody who has it and the picture is the same. Let the buyer beware.

⭐I have been knitting for over 40 years and am still learning. “Knitting for Dummies” stays on my end table for a quick refresher or learning some of the techniques I’m not familiar with. One of our granddaughters is just learning to knit. When she was here for a visit I sent my copy home with her. This purchase is my replacement. Can’t be without it. It’s a great book for any knitter.

    ⭐helped me

⭐All knitters should own this book.Excellent for quick explanations.Great way to find solutions to mistakes. Informative re tools, yarns.Good resource lists.Nice, easy patterns. Good photography and funny cartoons.Helpful format throughout book.

⭐I bought this book as I am an absolute knitting dummy. The basics are pretty clear and helpful, although as the content gets more complicated, so does the explanation. I’ve tried for example to make bobbles and I just couldn’t follow the instructions, had to get some help from a knitting guru I know. I tried as well a project shown for knitting in the round only to find out that the instructions were wrong!!!! My advice is: buy it as it gets you to the basics, but use it with caution!!!

    ⭐Wife found it good

⭐Learning knitting tips and stitching methods. Very clear explanatory for rookie knitters. Recommendedexce

⭐i bought this for my wife who thought it was great. It gives step by step instructions and easy projects to make for first timers. Well set out book and easy to follow. she also added sticky notes to highlight the pages she wanted to go back to. Brtilliant for beginners

⭐This book gave me a very good overview of knitting and techniques etc. However, pictures and descriptions need improvement. Pictures are too few sometime jumping crucial in between stages and descriptions can be unclear and confusing. I used the websites and videos to complement. I recommend this book to beginners but I would get it with another shorter one with clearer visual aids, better pictures and clearer description.
