⭐This is a book for beginners who are going to study LBM. Compared with other books, detail descriptions on the background theory are omitted. However, the simple explanation about LBM might be easy to understand for begginers. There are a lot of simple examples and some codes for simple toy problems. A lot of information is lacked on LBM and this book in not a seatable book as a main one on LBM. It might to be OK to have the third or fourth one.The worst thing is that there are alot of misprints. There may be no proofreaders. Therefore, we had better not to buy the first edition.

⭐I would definitely recommend this book to beginners who do not have any knowledge of LBM. Although there are some mistakes in code but it will help you to outline your own code.

⭐The editor of this book should be ashamed and the publisher embarassed. I expect more from Springer books. There are several grammatical errors on every page. Putting that aside, the Fortran codes in this book are poorly formatted leading to poor readability. Hence they are of little real use. The early chapters give a good description of LBM basics. Beyond that, you will have to rely on good journal papers.

⭐this book is very helpful for beginners. Clear and simple approach. I advise this book if you want to get started with LBM and do not have a deep back grown in gas kinetics. in

⭐I was very excited to read this book but it turned out that it is only scratching the surface. Unfortunately, for a professional in the field it is way to superficial and for someone who is just starting it is also not the right book because it is not well explained.About half the book are printouts of code? Why not give a link to download? I believe the intention was to enlarge the size of the book.I find it strange that Springer published this book!I cannot give it a recommendation.

⭐初心者向けではない書籍です。格子ボルツマン法になじみがない限りちょっと内容不足といきなり話が持ち出された気分でしょう。ただ、すぐにでもやってみたいなと思う人には最適です。実践的な内容もいっぱい入っていますが四つ星には値するかもしれません。が、私にはこの本の英語はタイポミスや不適切な専門用語が結構ありますので三ツ星にとどまりました。
