Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐this book enlightens you and assists you in a crash course utilizing linux, talking about the parent system, therefore any distro can be applied to it. It writes in simple terms and gives you the “Dummy” treatment as you know from the series.

⭐Good book, just not perfect. One Two Three Four Five Six Seven Eight Nine Ten Eleven Twelve Thirteen Fourteen Fifteen.

⭐Being new to the Linux world and having to jump in feet first for work I needed a resource that was easy to use and friendly in the commands and how-to’s. This book is great. Sits next to my computer so I have Linux command readily at my fingertips.A very good investment in my learning of Linux.George B

⭐Very good book and easy to read, everything you wanted to know about Linux (and more), a very good reference volume, and a very good buy in my estimation.

⭐I bought so many lately it is hard to remember which was slow and which was ok. I believe this one was ok

⭐This book was just OK. Even if you are a noob with linux, this book can’t be very helpful. It does go in to detail about distros and some basic commands but overall I found the layout to be confusing and spotty. I’d suggest googling out the distro you want to use and then get a book tailored to that flavor of linux.I got this on kindle and a day later put in for a refund. Got the full refund! 🙂 Gotta Love Amazon

⭐Didnt like this book at all was waste of money

    ⭐Good reference book

⭐The problem with Linux is there are so many “flavours”. This book does a great job of explaining the basics and most of the commonalities between the flavours. Its a bit dull though (maybe all operating systems are) and as such I deducted one star.

⭐The title suggested to me that this might have been the answer to the problems that I encounter when navigating the technological minefield of the computer. It was not, as the language used is that of the technically inclined /educated and consequently I am still as ignorant as before and have to rely on the trial and error principle of learning.
