⭐Just having finished the thrilling Criminal Aspects of Nonlinear Dispersive Equations, with its investigation of the psychology of mass murderers and the latest forensics techniques, I was sadly disappointed in this latest contribution to the series. Essentially every page of this book is covered with mathematical equations, each more inscrutable than the last. Who the hell wants to read that? Even the chapter involving Shrödinger’s equation just has a bunch of numbers and symbols without even a single reference to his cat.Admittedly, I could be judging this book harshly because of the standards set by its predecessors. The Culinary Aspects of Nonlinear Dispersive Equations almost overnight turned me into a gourmet chef, the Medical Aspects of Nonlinear Dispersive Equations allowed me to successfully remove a brain tumor from my own cerebellum, and the Sexual Aspects of Nonlinear Dispersive Equations has done wonders for my love life. I suppose that I shouldn’t be surprised that with the title “Mathematical Aspects” the focus would be on math, but after such a rich and varied tradition in the Nonlinear Dispersive Equations book line, I was expecting more.
