⭐Very good reminder of what honest curiosity will find: his experiment when drilling cannons in Munich clearly counts as the Birth of Thermodynamics in establishing the equivalence between Energy = Work = Quantity of Heat. First presented to the Royal Society in London on 25 January 1798. I posted a blog site as CleanEnergyPundit, under the same title on 01 July 2015 giving further relevant details.
